• Programme supports Vet Med strategic business plan • Ability to deliver a parttime courses to offcampus students • No timetabling of classes in semester required except for 4 weekend practical sessions
• Delivery format meets the needs of professionals • Provides opportunities for Vet Med to develop other parttime courses in areas of specialism
• UCD Vet Med can develop other programmes and micro CPD offerings using similar UCD mechanisms to compete in Vet online CPD market
• Offers staff new opportunities to explore and utilise a range of technologies to teach this can be mapped to undergraduate studies
• Additional resources required to run the programme • Academic time, educational technologist, administration, multimedia resources
• Teaching and preparing online instruction was new to all staff members
