EQ: How do I begin my research paper in SIRS Knowledge Source?

1. Open Google Chromea. Go to http://www.easybib.com/b. Follow the directions on EasyBib EDU Google Login and sheet.

2. Leave EasyBib open in Google Chrome and open another web tab in Google Chrome.a. Go to https://udlibsearch.lib.udel.edu/

3. On the left click under Databases – click on High Schools

4. Under Databases for Getting Started click on SIRS Knowledge Source

5. Look at the topics and click on one that interests you.

6. Open the articles and read them. Choose articles to use for your research paper. Make sure to choose an article for and against your topic. After each article you choose go to step 7.

7. When you open the article, after you read it and decide you want to use it for your research paper. Click in the green box on the left that says, Export to EasyBib.

8. Then click Import, and then go back to the web browser tab Knowledge Source and print or save to Google Drive.

9. After you import each article into EasyBib go back to Knowledge Source and print and/or save the article to Google Drive. Click in the green box to the left that says Save to Google Drive and/or Print.

10. When you have chosen and printed all of your articles and they are in EasyBib. Click on the first EasyBib tab in your web browser. It should have all your articles listed.

11. You should have all of your articles showing. Click on Export, choose Print as Word Doc or Save to Google Docs.

12. If you click on Print as Word Doc, the following screen comes up and you then click on Download for MS Word. Then click open in the pop up download box.

13. Microsoft Word will open. Click Enable Editing at the top. Then print 2 copies, one for Ms. Weiner and one for you. Handwrite your name in pencil at the top.

14. You must have your Works Cited page saved. There are many ways to do this.a. If you followed directions and created an account in EasyBib, you don’t have to do anything

else. Just log out of EasyBib, using the drop down arrow where your name is listed.b. If you did not create an account in Easy Bib you have to save your Works Cited page. By:

i. Save your page to Google Driveii. Save the page to your student share drive. To save to the Public Student Share drive. File

Save As - My Computer (on left) – Public (MPHS)(S:) - Student Data - 2017 Weiner folder – Open your Period folder.– Save document with your last name.

iii. Save the page to your flash drive or e-mail to yourself.

15. You are finished! You have your topic, your printed articles, and your Works Cited page.
