First day of the tour: the museums dayOn the first day we are visiting a few London’s museums: Madame Tussauds, the British Museum and the London Transport Museum. They are among the most interesting museums, which are worth a visit.

Second day of the tour: famous places

On the second day we are moving to some of London’s most famous places, such as the Millenium bridge, Buckingam Palace and the Big Ben.

Third day of the tour: tourist attractions

On the third day we are visiting a few of the most beautiful attractions of the city: the London Eye, the Shard and the Tower Bridge.

1. Madame Tussauds is a famous wax museum in London, it has smaller museums in other big cities, too. It was founded by a wax sculptor. Madame Tussauds is one of the major attractions in London, displaying the works of famous people in history and popular film characters, too, such as Spiderman or Jack Sparrow.

2. The British Museum s a public institution dedicated to human history, art and culture. It has got a collection of about 8 million works and it is the first national public museum in the world. It is a record of the history of human culture from the ancient past to present times.

3. The London transport museum preserves and displays the city transport heritage.

Description of the 3 second-day attractions1. The London Millennium Footbridge is a steel suspension bridge for pedestrians which crosses the River Thames. It is located between Southwark Bridge and Blackfriars Railway Bridge. It is owned and maintained by Bridge House Estates. Its construction began in 1998 and finished in June 2000.

2. Buckingham Palace is the London residence and the administrative headquarter of the monarchs of the United Kingdom. Located in the City of Westminster, the Palace is often the centre of State occasions and royal hospitality. It is a focal point for the British, an opportunity of national rejoicing and mourning.

3. The Big Ben is the big clock tower of Westminster Palace, the UK’s Parliament Home. The tower was planned by Augustus Pugin in a Neo-Gothic style. Its building began in 1834 and finished in 1858.

Description of the 3 third-day attractions1. The London Eye is a giant wheel placed on the south bank of the river Thames. From its top it is possible to enjoy a splendid view of the whole city. It was built with iron bars that make it look like a bicycle wheel. It is the most popular attraction of the UK and the biggest wheel in the world.

2. The Shard is a supertall skyscraper, planned by the Italian architect Renzo Piano. It is the highest skyscraper in the UK and one of the highest in Europe and in the world. The glass-clad pyramidal tower has 72 habitable floors and a height of 244 metres. The spectacular view you can enjoy from its top storey was opened to the public about a year after the inauguration.

3. The Tower Bridge matches Southwark and Tower Hamlets. It is a mobile bridge, planned for the transition of car and ships. The two towers are fundamental for the bridge opening. It is possible to reach the top of the towers by elevators or stairs.
