• Through Christ we have an escape from death and a hope for eternal life

Therefore, We Should Walk In Sin No More – 1 John 3:6-10

• This does not mean that we cannot sin (once saved always saved), but that we cannot continue in sin and remain a child of God. (1 John 1:5-10, Rom. 6:1-2, Matt. 5:48)

• We need to deny ungodliness and worldly desires

(Titus 2:11-15)• We need to bridle our tongue (James 1:26)

Therefore, We Should Walk In Sin No More – 1 John 3:6-10

• We need to abstain from every form of evil (1 Thess. 5:22, 4:3, 1 Pet. 2:11, 1 Cor. 6:9-11)• We need to have a love for all but especially

our brethren (1 John 3:11-19, 1 Pet. 4:8, Rom. 12:9-10, John 13:34-35, 1 Pet. 1:22, John 15:12-14,

In Conclusion

• Sin is a transgression of God’s Commandments (1 John 3:4)

• Christ came to take away our sins. (1 John 3:5)• Therefore we should no longer walk in sin, but

should instead have a love for God, which means keeping His commandments.
