TIME

•  24 Hours = 1,440 Minutes = 86,400 Seconds

•  168 Hours Per Week

•  NOT ENOUGH TIME!!! BUSY BUSY BUSY!

•  TOO TIRED!

THE GOD OF TIME •  1,000 years = 1 day, 1 day = 1,000 years (2 Peter 3:8)

•  God waited 2 days for Jesus to be born J

•  Watch in the night = 3 hours = 1,000 years (Psalm 90:4)

•  If we live to be 70 years old, it is equal to 12 minutes 36 seconds!!!!

40 YEARS OF WILDERNESS

LET’S START WITH JESUS

•  Matthew 11:28-30

•  “Come to me all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

WHY MANAGE TIME?

•  Ephesians 5:15-17

•  15 So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise.

•  16 Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.

•  17 Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do.

WHY MANAGE TIME?

•  Colossians 4:5-6

•  5 Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity.

•  6 Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone.

WHY MANAGE TIME?

•  1 Corinthians 9:26

•  26 Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air.

HOW TO PRIORITIZE?

•  Matthew 6:33

•  But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

HOW TO PRIORITIZE?

•  Time for everything! •  Ecclesiastes 3

•  Lord teach us how to live every day!

•  Psalms 90:12

SCHEDULE REST (EXODUS 20:8-11) •  8 “Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. •  9 “Six days you shall labor and do all your work, •  10 but the seventh day is a sabbath of the LORD your God; in

it you shall not do any work, you or your son or your daughter, your male or your female servant or your cattle or your sojourner who stays with you.

•  11 “For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day; therefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day and made it holy.

LIVE LIKE TODAY IS YOUR LAST

•  James 4:14-15

•  14 Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.

•  15 Instead, you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and also do this or that.”

TIPS •  Wasting time – internet, facebook, tv, phones •  Plan your week (Proverbs 6:6-8, Proverbs 16:9) •  Prioritize tasks/chores/errands •  Ask for help (Exodus 18:17-23) •  Shortcuts •  Using small amounts of time to finish a lot •  Schedule busy work (taxes, budget, email, phone call, filing, etc) •  Organize your day the night before •  Relaxing bed-time routine
