A Report of Thalassemia Screening and Prevention Programme

The GIDC Degree Engineering College with assistance of Red Cross society Ahmedabad

branch organized thalassemia screening and prevention programme in the college premises on

21/01/2020. About 47 first years admitted students from all branches were participated in

thalassemia screening and prevention programme and understand the meaning of testing

Thalassemia and its advantages for coming generation.

The Principal Dr. N. D. Sharma acknowledged the organizing team of the camp. The camp was

organized by Prof. Dr. H.S. Patil, with a team of Dr. D.C. Patel, Prof. Hitesh C. Rana, Prof.

Bharat H. Gajera, Prof. Akash A. Patel, Prof. Dharmik A. Patel, Mr. Hitesh Patel, Mr.

Brijesh Patel, Mr. Divyesh Patel and Ms. Amruta Naik. The GDEC teaching and supporting

staff played a key role in successful organization of the camp. This camp helped students in

getting awareness about their social responsibilities and showed enthusiastic participation for the

same.
