We operate on the ship management and marine technical consultancy market since 1987,when Sebastiano and Vittorio Portunato founded Portunato & C. S.r.l. aiming to providetailor-made and cost-effective shipmanagement solutions according to world-class standards.
Since the beginning the company devoted mainly to the wet and dry bulk sectors.
During the late 1990s we specialized in the management of the most complex type of vesselin the sector by that time, i.e. the OBOs, reaching an overall deadweight capacity of 715,000mt.After the decline of the OBO type, the activity was primarily focused on crude oil, productand chemical tankers, chartered to all main oil majors and traders and world-wide operating.
Among the most significant achievements, one Aframax tanker was successfully run for aperiod of 5 years in lightering operations in the U.S. Gulf with no technical off-hire.
Together with tankers, we have always managed bulk carriers, which more recently becameour core business.

During the years our company gathered good experience with varied ship types such as gascarriers, general cargo, container feeders, RO-ROs, livestock carriers and offshore supportvessels.
We set up own offices and direct relationship with recruiting agents in key crew markets suchas the Philippines, Croatia, Ukraine, India, Myanmar and China.Thanks to positive and steady achievements throughout the time, we grew as aninternational group with service centres in Genoa, Rijeka, Singapore and Geneva, crewmanagement hubs in Manila and Rijeka, representative offices in Tokyo and Dalian (recentlymoved to Beijing) under the brands of SeaFlag and SeaQuest Oriental for western and fareastern clients respectively. Since December 2014 we operate under the name of SeaQuestShipmanagement and crewing activities are managed through the dedicated companyKvarner Crewing Services.
A long-established worldwide network of agents and correspondents enables us to providethe highest service availability.

Technical Management● Full technical support and advice through professional marine engineers and

Crew ManagementSeaQuest recognizes the importance of establishing the strictest relation between the Ship-owner and the seafarers. For such reason we established our own crewing arm, under the brand Kvarner Crewing Services, and recommend our clients to employ the seafarers recruited by Kvarner.
Kvarner Crewing Services has recruitment offices in Rijeka (Croatia) and Manila (Philippines) in partnership with Elburg Shipmanagement Phils. Inc.
Kvarner Crewing Services works in close coordination with long lasting partners’ recruitment offices in Ukraine and Montenegro.
A growing pool of 600+ seafarers of varied nationalities is rotated on SeaQuest managed vessels: all of them clearly recognize the Ship-owner and SeaQuest as their employers.In the last 12 months the Officers Retention Rate in company’s rosters was 90.2%.
If requested, Romanian, Indian, Chinese and Burmese seafarers are available from selected partners’ recruiting offices.We also recruit Italian seafarers and manage Italian flag vessels through the Genoa service centre.
