The Chao Phraya River is very important to all Thai people. The Chao Phraya River is the longest river in Thailand. The Chao Phraya River long about 513,115 sq. km and the Chao Phraya River contain the volume of the water about 30,000 million cubic meter. . The source of Chao Phraya River begins at Chiang Mai. The tributary are Ping, Wang. Yom, and Nan and then the river meet at the Nakorn Sawan . The mouth of Chao Phraya River opens into the Gulf of Thailand. The Chao Phraya River helps people to irrigate their crops and farmland. Also the Chao Phraya River is used to transport boats, people and various goods all over Thailand. Yet another use of the Chao Phraya River is fishing, many people make a living from fishing in the Chao Phraya River. A long time ago the river was crystal clear and had a lot of fish, But today the river is dirty and polluted with less fish and less marine life. Also a long time ago we could drink water from the Chao Phraya River, but now the river is too dirty. Today, If we were to drink some of the water from the Chao Phraya River we might get sick. There are many drastic and major changes that have taken place in the Chao Phraya River over the very short period of time.In order to strengthen the overall well being of the Chao Phraya River, we need to have more fish, plants and natural wild life living in the river. This would help the Chao Phraya River by making the water in the river healthier, cleaner and more sustainable.

INDICATORS of the PROBLEMOver the course of a week in February 2014, NIST International School students went to study more about the Chao Phraya River. We observed that the amount of dead fish, the amount living plants, and amount of trash all affect the Chao Phraya River system

EFFECTS OF DEAD FISHAs we can see from the system map, the presence of dead fish. It make all more difficult in and around the Chao Phraya River. The first of all it affect the living things under the surface such as plant bacteria and other organisms. This, in turn, will affect overall quality of the water. When the water of the Chao Phraya River is affect this create an environment where disease and harmful bacteria and chemicals can live and thrive. When the Chao Phraya River is unhealthy this will affect all other water that touches it, such as the gulf of Thailand and all of the Klong with in City of Bangkok. Another result of the Chao Phraya River being unhealthy is the bad smell. People dont want to travel close to or live next to the Chao Phraya River because of this horrible smell. As a result, fisherman and other people who work on the Chao Phraya River could lose a lot of money due to the unhealthy state of the water system of the Chao Phraya River. Maybe the most important affect is when people come in to contact with the contaminated water of the Chao Phraya River. If and when it this happen these people could get they could get rash, disease, or even die.

WHY THIS IS THE IDEAL POINT TO MAKE A CHANGEAs can be seen in the system map, there are many different things that contribute to the presence of Stop the oil because if we can stop the oil the water will be more healthy and the fish will not die. one of the most significant reasons are: Because to stop the oil from the river We have more fish We have healthy river People want to live near the river No smell from the river People want to play with water Tourist want to come to visitThe key to changing the system is at the point of where the oil is put into the river. This is an ideal point to make a difference because it will prevent the fish from dying.

INNOVATIONTo help over health of the Chao Phraya River. I would like to suggest that we use we a product call EM ball. They are made of natural materials such as Husk or bran, cayenne, Soil, sediment, sand or mud, Liquid EM curry, Molasses sugar curry, clean waterThe EM balls help produce more oxygen, Kill the bed bacteria, balance the PH levels, and make the river smell better.

This innovation will be effective for the following reasons:

NATURERight now the Chao Phraya River is unhealthy. It unhealthy because there are a lot of plastic bags. Dead fish, garbage and chemical in side of the Chao Phraya River. These things are killing the living things in the Chao Phraya River. If we use EM ball it will protect the river from unhealthy to be healthy water. If the river healthy people want to live near , people want to visit, we have more living thing and the river will healthy. If we use Em ball we might need people to help throw the ball in the river.This will make the river cleaner from the old day but if people are not stopping this behave the river might get back to unhealthier river again.

ECONOMYThe EM balls are very cheep. More people can use it. It cost 10 (250g)baht per ball for the Chao Phraya Rive. We need 6 tan to make the river healthy for Chao Phraya River. It cots 35,000 baht per month. However this innovation we need to do every month so for one year it will cost 240,000 baht. If we do every month the Chao Phraya Rive will get healthy. However people who work in the Chao Phraya River might get effect from The EM ball for 1 day because the ball need to use1 hours to get the Em ball sink. However it will might block the river.

SOCIETYPeople who live near the Chao Phraya River. They might not like it at first because they cant work in the river. However they might be happier after using the EM ball because people will not get smell for the river, get more money, and people live happier. The will be good for people who live near the Chao Phraya Rive. To make this happen, I plan to write a letter to the government of Thailand or make a charity about the Chao Phraya River. If People that have different background might effect negative and positive thing of these issues because of the behave that the have.

WELL-BEING Before the Chao Phraya River was healthy but now today the river is unhealthy so it might impact people who live near by the Chao Phraya River. I think a first people might not be happy because of this innovation but after people will get happy of this innovation. If this innovation of Em ball been use people who live near the Chao Phraya Rive will live better because of the Em ball. There will be less smell, so people will be happier and also people want to visit Thailand. There will be more fish because the Em balls help to make more oxygen and people that lived near by can catch the fish sell the fish and get money from it and have happy life.

CONCLUSIONThe problem of the dead fish can be indicated from seeing trash, garbage, oil, discolor of the water along the Chao Phraya River. This problem may also change the river system. The people who are affected by the dead fish is fisher man who get the fish and sell it after the fish dead the fisher man effect by no fish, no money., Boats the dead fish might lock the river , people who live near by the river might get stink from the river. I think this is a good solution to use the EM ball because if we use other way some people might not agree to the innovation. However this have positive impact to Nature, Economy, Society, and well-being. It impacts NATURE by making the Chao Phraya River healthier and make the system of the water better. It impact ECONMOY by we all can afford to the EM ball but if we need to do every day it might afford to much so we need to ask the government of Thailand. It impact SOCIETY by we all have different background so poor people, people that dont have education, people that cant read and ect. dont understand what are we trying to do so this might effect It impact WELL-BEING by many year ago was clean enough to drink or do any thing with it but now today the river is dirty so people need to change there lifes. I think my innovation is the best one because it made from natural materials and it help a lot of thing in the river and also people who live near by the Chao Phraya River.The water pollution in the Chao Phraya Rive is serious challenge that our kingdom is facing. The results odd the analysis of dissolved oxygen is very low.The high level of the pollution, and have dead fish , an obvious indicator of on unhealthy river. There are many stakeholder that enjoy derived this river. However if we use this innovation it will make the water of the Chao Phraya River better and make the system of the water better because make more oxygen fro the alive animas, kill the bacteria in the water and no smell form the rive. In that way, the entire of Thailand will become a great place to let people live and animals and people can live together.
