The Ark Encounter - Williamstown, KY

Monday, September 26, 2016

Join us and visit one of the most interesting, new attractions in the

U.S.! The new Ark Encounter is one of a kind, historically themed

attraction. In an entertaining, educational, and immersive way, it

presents a number of historical events centered on Noah’s Ark as

recorded in the Bible. As the largest timber framed structure in the

country, the 510-foot-long full-size Ark is designed to be historically

authentic. The Ark Encounter, as a sister attraction of the popular

Creation Museum, a Christian evangelistic outreach intended to bring

the Ark of Noah’s day and the events recorded in the book of Genesis

to life.

We’ve all seen pictures of Noah’s Ark in children’s books, complete

with giraffe heads sticking out the top. But, the real Ark, the one

described in the Bible was huge! It was amazingly seaworthy—a ship

that kept the occupants safe during a year-long, world-wide flood. Few

wooden ships have ever come close to the size of Noah’s Ark. It was

almost one and a half football fields long and taller than a modern four

-story house! Prepare to be blown away as you explore the life-sized

reconstruction of Noah’s Ark!
