General Information

Knowles Video, Inc. has produced quality programs, and provided broadcast level production and post-production support for over two decades. Our client base is extremely diverse and ranges from nearly every Stateagency in Florida to many private sector businesses including network and nationally syndicated programproducers. History and General Description

Knowles Video, Inc. is and has been actively incorporated in the State of Florida since May 1987. Prior toincorporation and since early 1983 business was handled under Knowles Video Production Services. Bothorganizations have grown, acquiring a reputation for maintaining the highest work quality.

Knowles Video Production Services offered video production support in the form of professional videoproduction, equipment rental, videotape duplication, and consultation. Knowles Video, Inc. added to the levelof service available by introducing Betacam and Betacam SP production and post-production technology.Increasing demand for our services allowed us to grow into an full-service organization. As digital and highdefinition production technologies continue to evolve, Knowles Video embraces the potentials they present.

Knowles Video, Inc. specializes in the use of broadcast level production and post-production equipment in thecreation of a wide range of program types from 30 second commercials and public service announcements tomarketing and corporate overview programs and long form documentary and training series projects. We havesupported the development of interactive media for over 25 years through laser disc and interactive CD-Rom andDVD program development.

We are a full service facility. Media duplication and fulfillment in large or small volume represents the finalstage of any product development. We have kept pace with changing technology to satisfy our in-house needs,and the duplication needs of our many clients.

2009 Tallahassee Community College, Tallahassee, Florida

Produced an interactive DVD-ROM marketing too l for Tallahassee Community College. This program allows first time or

returning students to explore the educational oppor tunities that exist through TCC and to listen to peers talk about the

rewarding experiences possible. All major program tracks are presented, as well as a wide variety of weblinks. A frequently

asked questions section covers some of the more commonly asked questions.

2009 FSU CIMES , Tallahassee, Florida

Produced a series of audio and video segments to support an on-line training program for the State of California Applicant

Training Course for the Online Tobacco Information System, better known as OTIS. This program detailed the funding

process for the OTIS program as well as other available tools. These segments included a variety of voice actors to ensure

diversity of the courseware.

2009 Tallahassee Community College, Tallahassee, Florida

Produced a 30 second television commercial promoting TCC to the tricounty area using soundbites from students and former

legislator Janegale Boyd and Dept of Corrections Secretary W alt McN eil. This spot was also ported for use in movie theaters.

2009 Zeta Tau Alpha, Indianapolis, Indiana

Provided comprehensive video production and post-production support to produce multiple daily web feeds of the highlights

of the ZTA National Leadership Conference. Over 600 individuals participated in this event out of a total membership

approaching 145 ,000 . The daily web feeds allowed all members to stay abreast of the events throughout the Conference.

Additionally KVI supplied full A/V support with two PA systems each capable of handling audiences of 1,000 persons.

2009 FSU Public Affairs Center, Tallahassee, Florida

Provided an on-location news studio and live production system on FSU campus as part of an active shooter training event.

The training program include pre-produced material highlighting interviews with witnesses, family members and FSU staff.

In addition live newscasts were produced on-site and livecasted into the FSU Emergency Operations Center established for

this event.

2009 Florida DOE, Food & Nutrition Management, Tallahassee, Florida

Provided studio and field production, post-production and DVD authoring in the production of a statewide training program

for school lunchroom managers. This program was designed to provide basic information on the CRE review process and to

answer many of the common questions posed by managers. The final deliverable was made on DVD with open and closed

captioned media created for web delivery too.

2009 FSU Public Affairs Center, Tallahassee, Florida

Produced a series of simulated news segments to support a Pan-flu epidemic in Collier County, Florida. This included

acquiring footage at the Collier County Emergency Operations Center as well as location footage in Naples. This footage was

integrated into finished new segments/exercise drivers.

2009 Florida Dept of Health, Tallahassee, Florida

Produced a series of 4 simulated news segments for 5 regional exercises. These news segments included material for two

multi-state exercise events, Florida-Georgia and Florida-Alabama. The goal of these exercises was to establish cross county

and cross state line cooperative response efforts using an avian influenza pandemic as the exercise backdrop.

2009 Team Simulations, Tallahassee, Florida

Produced a series of simulated news segments to serve as exercise drivers for an event at a Rochester, New York hospital.

These segments included footage of county healthcare staff and news anchors delivering critical event information.

2009 Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare, Tallahassee, Florida

Contact: Debbie Carver

Produced a series of simulated news segments to serve as exercise drivers in the THM “Dark Disaster” tra ining event. These

segments created realistic news clips detailing a train derailment in Tallahassee, FL that resulted in a release of poisonous

chlorine gas. The hospital used these drivers to perform their first ever nighttime exercise drill. A documentary of the exercise

was also produced, enabling individuals who could not participate and new staff to learn from the experiences of the

participants.

2009 HDSupply - WaterWorks, Thomasville, Georgia

Produced a highly creative video segment to open their National Sales Convention in Las Vegas, NV. This included on-

location blue screen production at company facilities, as well as creative scripting that built a storyline around highly relevant

issues in the waterworks industry.

2008 North Florida Regional Domestic Security Task Force/Apalachee Regional P lanning Council

Produced a 30+ minute educational DVD supporting the Business Owners Against Terrorism program (BOAT). This DVD

and an accompanying 8 panel brochure were developed to provide business owners in a 13 county area with an understanding

of the ways terrorists might try to take advantage of businesses like their own. Along with a general overview, five major

business categories were covered: Vehicles, Property, Weapons, Chemicals and Hospitals. 1,000 BOAT DVD/brochures will

be distributed in early 2009.

2008 Florida Housing Finance Corporation, Tallahassee, Florida

Provided videotape coverage of the fifth annual FHFC Lender Awards Program and Housing Expo in Orlando, Florida.

Footage from these events was used to create an 9 minute video presentation highlighting the challenges of home ownership

and the efforts o f the Florida Housing Finance Corporation in making home ownership possible for many Floridians.

2008 Zeta Tau Alpha, Indianapolis, Indiana

Began production on the videotaped oral history of Zeta Tau Alpha. Interviews with past national presidents and key figures

in the 100+ year history of the organization began and will continue to include conversations with living relatives of the

original Founders.

2008 FSU Public Affairs Center, Tallahassee, Florida

Produced a series of simulated news stories supporting the 2008 “BETA FISH” exercise program. This exercise involved five

counties across the State of Florida. The exercise tested each locations response mechanism to a natural disaster with several

disaster scenarios created including a Hurricane and wildfires.

2008 Apalachee Regional Planning Council, Blountstown, FL

Contact: Chris Rietow

Produced a 12 minute documentary on Operation School Safety, the North Florida Regional Domestic Security Exercise

involving terrorist shootings and hostages at two local schools in Tallahassee, FL. The exercise tested the response mechanism

for a variety of law enforcement and public safety agencies with participants and observers from the 13 counties that make

up the North Florida Regional Domestic Security Task Force. Two Incident Command centers were established, and three

SWAT teams responded using simulated ammunition (simunition). Moulaged victims were sent by EMS to local hospitals

to test community response capabilities.

2008 HDSupply - WaterWorks, Thomasville, Georgia

Updated the HDSupply Waterworks CAP’s (Customer Advantage Programs) interactive CD-ROM. These changes reflected

website updates, software updates and the overview of additional features available to HDSupply Waterworks and HDSupply

Fire Protection customers.

2007 Polar Express Ice - PRF Properties, LLC, Omega, GA

Produced a 10 minute marketing program to promote the newest automated ice vend ing technology, the Polarmatic. This

video highlights the economic benefits and the technology that when combined offer a unique business opportunity to an

investor interested in long term revenue streams.

2007 Apalachee Regional Planning Council, Blountstown, FL

Contact: Chris Rietow

Produced a 12 minute documentary on the Beleaguered Buss 2 training exercise. This exercise was a follow-up to the highly

successful Beleaguered Buss 1 exercise. It involved the 13 counties that make up the North Florida Regional Domestic

Security Task Force. Beleaguered Bus 2 was designed primarily to evaluate each county's capability to implement their

pandemic influenza plans... particularly in the areas of ep idemiology investigation and rapid containment. The focus was on

local "epi" strike teams. The exercise also tested joint response coordination in a scenario that had the missionaries returning

to neighboring counties.

2007 Zeta Tau Alpha, Indianapolis, Indiana

Produced a series of interview driven video segments supporting ZTA’s New Member orientation program. Primary

production took place in Indianapolis, IN with additional production of the narrative segments, presented by Erin Andrews

(ESPN commentator and a Zeta), in Atlanta, GA. The final deliverables were chaptered DVD’s designed for easy access to

specific topics.

2007 Florida Housing Finance Corporation, Tallahassee, Florida

Provided videotape coverage of the fourth annual FHFC Lender Awards P rogram and Housing Expo in Orlando, Florida.

2007 FDACS - Division of Forestry, Tallahassee, Florida

Produced Phase 2 of a video based overview of the Best Management Practices for Silviculture in the State of Florida. This

program expanded the original 2006 production to include sections on Forestry Roads and Stream Crossings. The new

sections were integrated into the existing program resulting in a seamless and cohesive BMP overview. This new DVD will

be packaged as a companion to the actual BMP manual distributed to forestry operations personnel throughout Florida.

2007 Home Depot Supply - WaterWorks, Thomasville, Georgia

Updated the 2004 CAP’s (Customer Advantage Programs) interactive CD-ROM to reflect the company name change from

National Waterworks to Home Depot Supply Waterworks and updated and revised the individual segments to include new

programs and services, and features.

2007 Home Depot Supply - WaterWorks, Thomasville, Georgia

Produced a campy style short video that presented a year in review of Home Depot Supply WaterWorks’ performance using

a baseball theme. The narrator, a baseball color commentator, announced the signing of 5 top players (representing the 5

companies that were merged to create HD Supply W aterworks) and followed their performance with stats that highlighted the

company performance. This project opened the 2007 sales convention. Archival film footage, and campy scenes added a high

level of humor to keep this program interesting and enjoyable.

2006-07 The Advertising Guru, Americaus, Georgia

Produced television advertisements for automobile dealerships in Thomasville, GA, Moultrie, GA, Tifton, GA and Orange

Park, FL. These ranged from high end mood pieces to enthusiastic sales events, and even included the production of a 30

minute commercial program.

2006 FSU Public Affairs Center, Tallahassee, Florida

Produced a series of simulated news stories supporting the 2006 “eXtreme eXposure” radiological incident training event.

This event began as a regional preparedness training exercise and quickly grew to include Statewide participation. The

simulated new stories included aerial footage of a high speed chase, a simulated explosion of a dirty bomb with pyrotechnics

and moulaged persons. Every effort was made to create images to enhance the realism of the material.

2006 Florida Housing Finance Corporation, Tallahassee, Florida

Provided videotape coverage of the third annual FHFC Lender Awards Program and Housing Expo in Orlando, Florida.

Provided multi-camera coverage of their 54 th bi-annual National Conference in Houston, Texas. Coverage spanned a four day

period and included the creation of an edited highlights video presented on the final day to the 700+ attendees.

2006 FSU Public Affairs Center, Tallahassee, Florida

Produced a series of simulated news programs supporting the 2006 Bioshield statewide bioterrorism training program. The

simulated new stories are used to convey critical background information to the exercise participants as they would likely

receive it in a “real world” event. In addition we provided field production in Orlando, Largo, Tampa, Ft. Lauderdale and

Miami. This material was used to produce an 8 minute documentary on the event covering operations of the Logistics Staging

Area (LSA) and Points of Distribution (PODs) during the two day event.

2006 University of South Florida - Safety Florida Consultation Program, Tampa, Florida

Contact: Charlene Vespi

Produced a 7 minute promotional video explaining the OSHA Consultation program, that also highlighted the importance and

cost saving benefits of the free consultation service. Production took place throughout Florida and in the Los Angeles,

California region. This program wove a storyline of testimonials from real business people with a narrative track to very

effectively convey how valuable this service is not only to a business’s bottom line, but more importantly in preventing injuries

or deaths. The program won OSHA’s OSCAR in recognition of outstanding achievement. This program, and a 30 second

public service announcement that was also developed, have been distributed to all 50 States.

2006 FDACS - Division of Forestry, Tallahassee, Florida

Produced a video based overview of the Best Management Practices for Silviculture in the State of Florida. This program was

designed to provide forestry operations personnel with a visually rich discussion of special management zones, wetland

operations and how to deal with waste management. The program was designed as a chapter based presentation delivered on

DVD for easy access to specific information and topics. It was packaged as a companion to the actual BMP manual distributed

to forestry operations personnel throughout Florida.

2006 Florida Dept. Of Environmental Protection, Tallahassee, Florida

Provided two camera field production to document an annual training exercise of the State of Florida’s Environmental

Response Team. This team is made up of individuals from numerous State and Federal agencies who have the capability and

expertise to conduct criminal and forensic investigations in contaminated environments involving chemical, biological or

hazardous materials. This footage was developed into a 9 minute documentary on the event.

2005 FSU Public Affairs Center, Tallahassee, Florida

Produced a series of simulated news stories supporting tabletop training exercises for the Public Affairs Center. These

simulated news stories included topics related to localized natural and man-made health events, to regional/national health

pandemics. Events also focused on specific response efforts such as dealing with persons with special needs. The simulated

new stories provided a realistic component that greatly enhanced the participation in each training program.

2005 FSU International Programs, Tallahassee, Florida

Produced an updated version of the High School study abroad program marketing video used to market the FSU IP High

School program to students in Leon County and throughout the State. This program was originally produced by KVI in 1997

and has been updated on a regular basis.

2005 Florida Division of Cultural Affairs, Tallahassee, Florida

Contact: Rachelle Belanger

Provided post-production support in the creation of a 10 minute video emphasizing the importance of art in Florida’s

communities. The program included soundbites from presentation held during the year with a narrative thread linking the

soundbites.

2005 Bishop Hill Charter School, Thomasville, Georgia

Produced a 16 minute overview of Bishop Hall Charter School as an aid in their grant funded efforts to replicate their program

throughout Georgia. The video , solely through interviews and testimonials, tells the story of the challenges T homas County

faced with a high school graduation rate that stagnated at 65% . Through the creative efforts of administrators Bishop H all

was created and within 3 years raised the high school graduation rate to 90%.

2005 FSU Public Affairs Center, Tallahassee, Florida

Produced a 18 minutes of simulated news stories supporting the 2005 “Bioshield” training event. This event is a statewide

bioterrorism preparedness training exercise. The simulated new stories are used to convey critical background information

to the exercise participants as they would likely receive it in a “real world” event.

2005 Florida Home Builders Association, Tallahassee, Florida

Provided field production and location post-production at the 2005 SEBC to produce a 90 second video news release for use

by the Scripps Network and H GT V.com.

Provided production support for three separate projects shot on location in Europe. The first project was an international

travel promotional program set for Hertz International. This program set required three weeks of production in England,

Ireland, and France. The second project was an informational program designed to explain the concepts of American-

style football to the European youth market. Production took place in London, England and Dallas, Texas. The third

project was a promotional program highlighting a theme park development in Marbella, Spain.
