Stampin’ Up! Supplies Used:
• Stamps: Pocketful of Sunshine, Eastern Beauty• Inks: Lemon Lime Twist, Night of Navy• Cardstock: Lemon Lime Twist (7" x 1/4"), Night of Navy, Whisper White (3/4" x 1/2")• Designer Paper: Eastern Palace Specialty (8" x 4") and (7 1/2"x 3/4")• Accessories: 5/8" Night of Navy Crinkled Seam Binding, Tombow Mono Glue, Dimensionals,
Glue Dots, • Tools: Big Shot, Pocket Framelits, Stitched Framelits (smallest circle), 1 1/2" Circle Punch, Paper
Trimmer, Paper Snips• Miscellaneous: Gift Card, Miniature Hershey bar
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Using the Pocket and V stitching stamps and Pocket Framelit, stamp and cut out 2 pockets using the (8" x 4") DSP Night of Navy Ink.
2. Next Using the Lined Straight Stamp, stamp the 7 1/2" x 3/4" DSP with Night of Navy Ink. Score at 2 1/4", 3 3/4", and 5 1/4".
3. Very carefully fold the tabs of one of the pockets, (note: when using DSP for this project the score is very fragile) and add some Mono Tombo Glue to them and attach the scored DSP strip around as shown below.
4. Although there is a Tab Framelit that goes with the Pocket set, it is not big enough for the "For You" stamped image. I cut a piece of Whisper White yardstick 3/4" x 1/2" and scored at 1/4" on the short side to make my own. Stamp "For You" in Night of Navy Ink on the top part of the Whisper White as shown in the first picture. Using Mono Tombo Glue, glue it face down on the remaining pocket piece.
5. Attach the top part of the pocket to the piece already put together to form your complete pocket. Add the 7" x 1/4" strip of Lemon Lime Twist to the pocket using glue on the ends, after shaping it into a C shape.
6. Punch out a Night of Navy Circle using the 1 1/2" Circle Punch. Stamp "Enjoy Today" from the Eastern Beauty stamp set in Night Of Navy. Then using the dotted circle from that same stamp set and the Lemon Lime Twist Ink, stamp a circle around the saying. Using the smallest Circle Framelit from the Stitched Framelits cut it out using the Big Shot. Attach it to the Night of Navy circle with a Dimensional. Using the Night of Navy Crinkled Seambinding Ribbon tie a bow around a gift card, then attach your saying with a glue dot.
7. Using some Night of Navy cardstock scraps, cut very thin strips using your Paper Trimmer. Crinkle them up and add them to your finished pocket to make some paper shred. Add your gift card and Hershey Bar and you are finished.
8. The pocket can also be made without any of the stamping for a completely different look. I hope you have enjoyed my project. Happy crafting!
