Objectives :
To enable the student teacher to:-

3. Explain and use different methods, approaches and techniques of teaching learning of
English subject.
4. Understand and explain the structure of English subject
5. Explain concept of curriculum and syllabus, methods of constructing curriculum.
6. Explain importance and use of Core elements, Values and Life skills.
7. Analyze text book and content.
8. Analyze various resources in teaching learning of English subject.
9. Understand qualities of a competent English teacher.
10. Analyze and evaluate the traditional and new trends in English subject.

Objectives: To enable the student teacher to
Understand nature, scope & importance of general science at secondary level.
Acquaint with the objectives of general science.
Understand curriculum & syllabus of general science at secondary level.
Analyze the textbook & content of general science at secondary level.
Implement methods & models of teaching learning of general science.
Be aware about general science laboratory.
Acquire the competencies of general science teacher.
Find out learning resources in general science.
Unit 1: Nature of general science (Credit: 1)
1.1 Nature, importance, scope & correlation of general science at secondary level.
a) Meaning
Nature: a. Science as a body of knowledge /content of science(Product): facts,
concepts, generalizations, theories & laws
b. The process of science: observation, classification, number relations &
measurement, space/time relations, communications, predictions / inference,
formulating hypothesis, interpreting data, variables, experimenting.
Scope: how useful in various areas in future ( individual & society )

b) Correlation of general science with other subjects at secondary level
