DG Endpoint Agent Roadmap

Keynote Session: Moving at WARP Speed

Announcing Digital Guardian Analytics and Reporting Cloud (ARC)

Welcome & Opening Comments

Leveraging DG to Defend Against Outsider Threats

Welcome Dinner

Registration will be fast and easy and, coupled with our welcome reception, you can enjoy a cocktail and network with all the Digital Guardian Community & User Event attendees. Get there early as special guest Steve Jones, Scottsdale native and 1996 US Open Champion, will be in attendance to mingle and share his winning strategies as a PGA Tour Professional (and how they may be applicable to a winning security strategy).

All CUE 2017 general sessions will take place in PRINCESS BALLROOM F.

We have released new and noteworthy DG Agent and Server enhancements in the past few months with more coming in the near future. In this session, we’ll review enhancements including user classification, classification tag propagation, enhanced system

collection, and improved browser architecture, to name a few. We’ll also cover the most recent releases and highlight architectural changes designed to deliver a more flexible and stable agent in early 2018.

Digital Guardian has had a longstanding collaboration with Microsoft – our agent operating in the kernel of the Windows OS requires it. Earlier this year we took the relationship to a new level when Microsoft invited DG to participate in an exclusive program, the Windows Application Readiness Program or WARP. In this session, John and Tony will share more about the WARP program, the Microsoft move to Windows as a Service (WaaS), and the benefits both have already delivered, and will continue to deliver, to our joint customers.

Keynote Speaker BioJohn Wilcox is the WaaS evangelist and one of the original authors of WaaS for the Windows Service and Delivery (WSD)

group at Microsoft. John has been in the Microsoft Windows organization for 25 years, previously responsible for partner engineering engagements with Windows Phone and Mobile, and ISV adoption and development for Windows NT. He works with independent software vendors, like Digital Guardian, and commercial customers and partners on how they can transform their software lifecycle management processes to take advantage of today’s modern software service models.

The launch of DG ARC has significantly advanced DG’s promise of data protection regardless of the threat type. ARC is the first cloud service within the

DG Data Protection Platform and brings with it a capability to detect and contain advanced threats while presenting our traditional DLP capability in a whole new light. We now have the ability to offer you a real opportunity to reduce the total number of security agents on your endpoints while providing a means to get answers to the most common DLP questions in the shortest amount of time. David will extend the ARC discussion to our overall cloud services strategy and how it will manifest itself in our near and long-term platform roadmap. Ultimately, this session will help you understand the product architecture and how the move to cloud services will help increase the value you receive from your Digital Guardian investment.

Ken will kick things off with a DG business update. He will revisit his CUE 2015 presentation and provide a progress report. His presentation will include updates on the organization, including key new hire announcements, product development/quality assurance updates, and how all of this will accelerate our ability to provide you with greater support for your data protection program.

In January 2015, Digital Guardian launched our Managed Security Program for Advanced Threat Protection (ATP). Since then we have detected and contained threats ranging from suspected state-sponsored espionage utilizing Azure as an entry vector to WannaCry infections using the Double Pulsar exploit. In Q2 2017 alone DG deployed 1.4 million external threat intel IOCs; observed millions of executions of malicious processes identified by VirusTotal; and sent over 100 high fidelity alerts to notify customers of high risk infections. Tim will share stories from the front lines and help you determine if MSP for ATP could be right for your organization.

After everyone has had a chance to get acquainted, or reacquainted, we’ll take a seat and enjoy a poolside dinner.

Forcepoint’s DLP technology but as their business evolved, they saw room for improvement. In late 2016, they began evaluating competitive solutions from Symantec and Digital Guardian and ultimately chose DG. Mary Scott, PwC Project Manager, will share her thoughts on why PwC made that choice and update you on how the project is going today. Mary will also share PwC’s data security vision for the future.

There’s no doubt your organization is looking to the cloud to streamline operations. From greater computing scale to faster application deployment, the operational efficiencies of the cloud are simply too great to ignore. The cloud isn’t just a technology fad — companies are moving entire networks into the cloud, and it is now becoming a mainstream corporate computing model. So how do you make that move securely? How do you take advantage of the operational efficiencies inherent in the cloud without increasing your threat surface? Mike will use this session to guide you to do just that. Leveraging real-world examples he will help you build your secure cloud roadmap.

In 2014 Digital Guardian introduced a new delivery model for our data loss prevention product – endpoint DLP as a managed service. In 2015 we extended our managed services to include advanced threat protection, followed quickly by network DLP in early 2016. 2017 has marked the introduction of our content server, DG RAS, online training and, most importantly, our very first cloud-based SaaS service, DG ARC. For many DG customers it may seem like a lot to ingest, but our global services team is here to help. In this session, Mark will guide you through the wide variety of DG’s expanded data protection capabilities and how your organization can best take advantage of them to improve your overall security posture.

For those rushing off to the airport, a carry-out lunch will be available.

Experience an evening traveling back to the late 1800’s when Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday roamed the open plains. Enjoy the opportunity to live this piece of history at Rawhide, an old-west town preserved from this time period. The evening begins with a reception at the Rawhide Saloon followed by dinner in the Cantina. We’ll also reserve some time for attendees to visit the candy shop or the blacksmith. And it wouldn’t be a CUE event without some surprises along the way. So, strap on your cowboy boots and be prepared for a wild (west) ride.

Data is the lifeblood of Citi’s IC Group (ICG) so they put a premium on data security and intellectual property protection. Their low risk tolerance requires a data protection partner that is willing to innovate with them and ensure their unique use cases can be addressed – for almost ten years Digital Guardian has been that partner. In this session, David and Frank will talk about some of the innovations and how they may be applicable to your organization.

Keynote Speaker BioMike’s bold perspectives are invaluable as companies determine effective strategies to grapple with the

dynamic security threatscape. Mike is one of the most sought after speakers and commentators in the security business and brings a deep background in information security. Mike’s been a security practitioner for over 20 years and likes to say he’s one of the guys who “knows where the bodies are buried.” Mike’s firm, Securosis, was early to the cloud computing game. They saw, before many others did, the power and efficiency the cloud offers and they’ve made it their mission to help clients secure cloud deployments and enable cloud applications better, faster and more securely.
