The portable, state of the art FaroArm allows us to carry out 3D part inspections and compare components to their original CAD data, by undertaking exact measurements and wider digital analysis. Paragon RT continues to invest in state of art CNC machining

centres with the latest addition being a HAAS VF6 SS SUPERSPEED.

The HAAS machine has extra large capacity with a bed size of

1600mm, a spindle speed of 12,000-rpm and compliments the

HURCO VM20i

Both machines lie in Paragon’s 5,000 sq foot dedicated CNC

technical centre just 2 miles from the company’s Headquarters in

Darlington.

H A A S V F 6 S S S P E C I F I C A T I O N

Haas Automation's VF-6SS is based on the shop-proven Haas VF-6

platform 1,626 x 813 x 762 mm xyz travels, the Super VF-6 comes

standard with an innovative 12,000-rpm inline direct-drive spindle, an

ultra-fast tool changer and 35m/min rapids.

The machine is equipped with a 12,000-rpm, 40-taper spindle that

features a unique inline, direct-drive system that couples the drive

directly to the spindle rather than using belts. This results in smoother

transmission of power, less heat and less noise than other drive systems,

providing better surface finishes, extreme thermal stability and very

quiet operation.

The newly designed 24+1 side-mount tool changer uses lighter materials

and a high-performance servo motor, for tool changes that take less

than 1.6 seconds tool to tool. High-pitch ball-screws and high-torque

servo motors on all axes provide rapids of 35m/min.

Paragon’s significant manufacturing experience means we are able

to offer support throughout the product development process.

We can produce a range of customised jigs and fixtures to enhance

your manufacturing process, including:

• Nesting Jigs

• Alignment jigs and masks

• Holding or Assembly Fixtures

Where your customer requires manufactured parts to be measured,

inspected or checked against original specification, we can supply a

range of precision gauges, such as Go-No Go Gauges.

Jigs can be supplied for incorporation into poka yoke assembly cells

particularly for automotive trim producers who need to ensure that it is

not possible to miss a clip or foam gasket.

Paragon specialise in the design and manufacture of Compression

and Reaction Injection Moulding tools for the casting of Polyurethane

and the compression moulding Silicone based polymers .

Our CNC department can produce machined cores and cavities in

aluminium and Ureol, but many compression tools can also be

produced on our SLA machine, making a very rapid response possible.

In addition Paragon can support companies with thermoforming tool

requirements, as well as press tools and form tools.
