My journey started when I was in high school
My last 3 years I took up Industrial Electricity
I spent 5 years in the US Navy as an electrician
I joined Lubrizol in 1980, as a electrician in one of our maintenance shops
My duties was not only doing electrical.

In 1997 I joined the Engineering and Maintenance Dept.
My primary job was to learn and do vibration testing on various pieces of equipment.
I had the CSI 2115 vibration analyzer.
In 1998 I took my first vibration class at CSI, Level I
In 2000 I found two UE ultra probes in a cabinet. One was a UE 2000 and the other was a UE Model SST from 1985 I had no idea what they were. Thank goodness it had a manual with it
In 2001 attend Airborne Ultrasound Level I. This was the first year that I started a stem trap survey

We have a great number of technologies to choose from when it comes to nondestructive testing.
Each of these technologies is fantastic on their own for troubleshooting.
But they all have their limitation's. Don’t be afraid to pair them up.
