Melody Denise Belmer, 56, of Osage, OK passed from this life to her heavenly home on Friday, May 29, 2020. Melody was born July 6, 1963 in Tulsa to Bobbie Lee and Leitha Lavern Varnell Venable. She was raised in the Sand Springs/Tulsa area, graduating from Charles Page High School. She has made Osage home for the past 28 years. On October 13, 1995, Melody was united in marriage to Christopher Alan Belmer at Osage. For five years, she and Chris owned and operated the Pizza Barn in Cleveland, full filling a dream come true for her; but for most of her life Melody considered herself a Domestic Goddess.

Some of Melody’s accomplishments that she was proud of was raising two beautiful boys and loving friends and family with her whole heart; Chris says that she “loved more passionately than most and was all about helping others”, never wanting to be in the limelight or given any credit to herself. Melody was a Christian that strived to have the attitude of Love, Kindness & Courage, receiving enjoyment from being a Mom, loving Wife and watching others be happy. She was all about helping the struggling addict and trying to help them find God. Some of Melody’s fondest hobbies were fishing, quilting, and gardening. Her favorite quote was “A house filled with love has elastic walls”. Chris said that she would like her sons to know that she loved them with all her heart and that she will be watching over them as well as her fellowship of friends. Melody is survived by her husband Chris and sons Emmanuel & Bryan.

There will be a visitation for Melody on Thursday, June 4th from noon to 7:00 pm at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home, with funeral services being held at 1:30 pm Friday at the Western Heights Baptist Church with Pastors Robert South and David Head officiating. For those that would like, persons can contribute to “Oklahoma Eastern Area Narcotics Anonymous” in lieu of flowers. This was an organization that Melody was passionate about. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to the Chapman-Black Funeral Home of Cleveland.
