7. REPORTS FOR INFORMATION AND STUDY
A. Internal Audit Report
Michael Wolff of Wolff Advisory Services will provide a brief review of the 2018-
2019 Internal Audit Report. Recommendation for approval of the report will appear
in Item 12 of this agenda.
B. High Tunnel Growing System at Colonie High School
Tom Kachadurian, CCHS Associate Principal, John Gilroy, Erin Lasky, and John
Gehres, will present regarding plans for using the awarded grant money from The
Albany County Soil and Water Conservation District to construct a High Tunnel
Growing System.

C. Fund Balance and Reserves Report
Sherri Fisher, Assistant Superintendent for Management Services and Strategic
Planning, will provide a report on the District’s fund balance and reserves.
8. COMMUNICATIONS
A. Requests to Speak on agenda or non-agenda items should be made on the forms
available and should be given to the District Clerk prior to the start of the meeting.
Comments are limited to five minutes, with a maximum of 15 minutes per topic.
Comments should be addressed to the President of the Board (not individual Board
members, staff, or other persons attending the meeting) who reserves the right to limit
the time of all speakers for the purpose of conducting regular Board of Education
business.
The Board of Education encourages public participation at its meetings and recognizes
its responsibility to hear public comment. An acknowledgment of the public comment
will be provided as appropriate. As a matter of practice, the Board of Education does
not engage in dialogue/debate during the public comment period. Although the Board
welcomes comments about programs offered by the District and the efforts of its staff,
the discussion of matters relating to specific individuals or students is prohibited.
9. REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS FOR ACTION
The Superintendent recommends approval of the following:
A. Committee on Special Education
Placements as indicated on the attached sheets.
B. In-Service Courses (Pages 14-19)
Approval of in-service courses as per attached list. Interested staff may register for
courses on PD Express.
C. Agreements
1. Approval of an agreement with Advanced Therapy,P.T., O.T., S.L.P.,
P.L.L.C., One Rapp Road, Albany, NY 12203 for the provision of therapy
services including Physical Therapy, Teacher of the Deaf, and Teacher of the
Visually Impaired services for summer services in July and August of 2019 at
a rate of $3,900 as per the attached agreement.

2. Approval of an agreement with Vanderheyden, Inc., P.O. Box 219,
Wynantskill, NY 12198 and South Colonie Central School District to provide
educational services to South Colonie student residents at the interim rate per
student of $7,418.00 for the 2019 two (2) month summer school session and
interim rate per student of $44,507.00 for the 2019-2020 ten (10) month
school year.
3. Approval of an agreement with CDB Connections, 673 Columbia Turnpike,
East Greenbush, NY 12061 to provide special education and/or related
services for the Summer 2019. Specialized services of Assistive Technology,
Teacher of the Deaf, and Teacher of the Visually Impaired will be $67.50 per
half hour for individual sessions. The rate structure for Special Education,
Speech Therapy, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Music Therapy,
and Social Work Services and meetings shall be $57.00 per half hour
(individual sessions) and $36.50 per half hour, per child, for group sessions
(of 2-5 children).
Supplemental and triennial review evaluations for the above services will be
billed at $325.00 per evaluation. A rate add-on of $25.00 per service for any
services delivered at locations which are outside a 15 mile radius of the
satellite offices.
4. Approval of an agreement with Living Resources, Inc., 300 Washington
Avenue Ext., Albany, NY 12203 for American Sign language Interpreter
Services during the 2019-2020 academic school year. Rates for the services
will be billed monthly at $55.00 per hour and include, but are not limited to
classroom instructions, extra-curricular activities and field trips.
5. Approval of an agreement with the Albany County Soil and Water Conservation
District, 24 Martin Road, Voorheesville, NY 12186 for the acceptance of grant
funding in the amount of $5,000, pending compliance/facilities review, and
outlining the grant requirements for a High Tunnel Growing System at the
Colonie High School.
6. Approval of an agreement between Carolyn M. Keenan, MT-BC, 4 Mohican
Way, Waterford, NY 12188 and South Colonie Central School to provide music
therapy during the school day to include preparation time, direct therapy,
required documentation, and IEP paperwork at a rate of $50.00 per 30 minutes.
The agreement shall commence July 1, 2019 and continuing through June 30,
2020.

7. Approval of an agreement with Spotted Zebra Learning Center, 26 Computer
Drive, Albany, NY 12205 to provide related service of occupational, physical,
and speech therapy as well as counseling and Special Education, based on the
attached compensation schedule. The agreement will be in effect July 1, 2019
through August 31, 2019.
D. Health & Welfare Contracts
1. Approval of a contract with the East Greenbush Central Schools, 29
Englewood Avenue, East Greenbush, New York 12061 for the 2018-2019
school year to provide health and welfare services to (3) South Colonie
resident students attending non-public schools located in the East Greenbush
Central School District. The health service cost per pupil is $784.18. The
total cost of the contract shall be $2,352.84.
