Reports being received duringthe past week indicates that Ring-ling-8arnum has clamped down onceagain on the idee of Circus Fansvisiting in the backyard.

Acts are even discouragingtheir friends from trying to comfor e visit for fear of reprisalsfrom the front office.

R. L. hed e pony and monkeyact* while his wife, Ross* workedthe dog act. Torn Powell had thecook house end reserved seets andBen Reed was the bull man. Laterhe was killed by "Diamond" the bedbull that Atterbury had.

Van Jerome, e contortionist,was with the ehow for a few weeks.He had come on to work until theJohn Robinson Circus opsned itsseason* Kitty Atterbury* R* L*'sdaughter worked on the horizontalrings* snd at that time both Bob,Jr. and Mary were just kids.

Ths show opened near Memphis,Tenn. and had plenty of rain andmud enroute to Illinois.

I worked magic in clown make-up and also worked Jergo. ShortyLorch wee a clown and the boascanvasman* Oell Simmona* a clownand juggler* took Jermone's placewhen he left. I left the show inIllinois.

The show's menagerie was keptin the back end of the big top. Itconsisted of e bear* two monkeys*and "Diamond," the elephant*
