Why do we like plastic…so Much? 

• Easy to carry

• Cheaper and easily available

• Light weight + folded in small size

• Water resistant

• Smooth, No sharp edges.

• Don’t need to think about destroying it…since

NOBODY asks & Cares…

Made up a non-biodegradable substance,

composed of toxic chemicals which pollutes

earth, air and water.

• serious damage to environment & living

beings, both during its production and

disposal

• Some of the constituents of plastic such as

benzene and vinyl chloride are known to

cause cancer.

• while many others are gases and liquid

hydrocarbons that vitiate earth and air.

What I can do?

• Refuse Plastic Bags at the check-out counter

• Buy beverages in sustainable containers.

(Glass bottles, Cans etc.)• Don’t open another plastic water bottle

(Use water tap or use your own Bottle)

• stainless steel food containers/Tiffin boxes• Encourage stores to change their practices

• Make a habit of thinking about what comes

with each thing that you buy.

• “Throwing a plastic bag into the garbage, I
