BreakfastBreakfast in Spain is very light. During the week,at breaksfast we have milk with biscuits or milk with cereals and in the milk with colacao or coffe, but in the weekend, we have braksfast with churros and chocolat or toast with jam.During the week we don’t have breaksfast with we family because we go at higt school at 8:25 and aou parents go to the job at 8:00 so, this depends on our timetable. But in the weekend we have breaksfast all together.- Tamara Castillo

We have breakfast at eight o'clock because twenty-five minutes later we begin the class.we have many breakfast than in other european countries because it's the food more important to have energy the whole day. I have a glass of milk for breakfast with cacao and some biscuits or cereals because i haven’t any more time. But other spanish have fruits , juice, or similar, but the most famous breaksfast it’s some buns or sponge-cakes and crulers in the weekend .Before, the majority people had a loaf of bread with oil and sugar but nowadays we have only a toast with butter and ham or marmelade. Then, I have a sandwich with a juice or a milk shake as second breaksfast in the playtime at high school -Fernando Santigosa

             Breakfast is the most

important meal at day, but only a short of people have a correct

breakfast. The correct breakfast is: a cup of milk, a glass of juice

or a piece of fruit and some cereals or cookies.

I got up at 7:45 and I normally have breakfast at 8:00,

normally I have a cup of milk with coffe and some cookies, or a

croissant, or some cereals.            In Spain we have

breakfast at 8:00 more or less, because a lot of workers start to

work at 8:30 or 9:00 and the students go to high school at 8:30

more or less (we start at 8:25). The breafast is had by us for 10

minutes. - Ana de Lucas

SUBJECTS

Page 6: A day in the life of… -A Spanish student- 1st part

The first class we've got, at 8:25 is Spanish, where we read poems and comment them. It is a quiet class, something logic if we think it's the first hour. When Spanish finishes at 9:20, we hurry up to go to the corridor to chat with our friends from B (the class nearby) before the biology teacher arrives. When we finish our class (at 10:15) our Physics and Chemistry and we spend another 55 minutes listening about the atom, proton, electron and all those small things. After physics we've got some people's favourite subject, which is...the break!! we used to stay in the high school but now, as the days are warmer, we often go to have a walk. Unfortunately, we can't go very far, because it only lasts 35 minutes. What a pity!!After having eaten our sandwiches and having talked with our friends our Maths class starts.. At 12:35 our English teacher Sara arrives and, as it's thursday, one or two mates give a speech to the rest of the class. It's something very interesting, but that idea becomes less and less interesting if you're the one who has to speak. Once it has finished, we arrive to the end of our day...with History class.Well, that's all, 6 long long hours resumed in 23 lines, it isn't bad, is it? - Cecilia Del Rey

Tomorrow is thursday, I don`t like nothing the thursdays because it`s a day very slow.

the first hour is de lesson of Literature, depend on the day, the all students are asleep, or, in the best case, someone is listen to him, but the best of that

hour is when the teacher recites some poetries; I think that he enjoys a lot reading it. It`s very beautiful!

the second hour is Biology, our biology`s teacher is very nice, and he explains very good, the worst and the best (in the same time) is when open

his notebook and calls someone and he ask some questions to the student in the blackboar.

Then, we have fisica and quimica, our teacher is a old and excelent men and teacher, but he is harder, and a lot of people in my class cost pass it a lot. After de free time (recreo) start Mathematics, this class is very enjoyable, our teacher is a women, and she is very kind usually, the problem comes

here when in my class stars to be a lot of shout and she finished very angry, my opinion about this is that she has got all reason, but I think that she hasn

´t to being same with all students. In the fourth hour we have English, generally in that lesson, there are some problems to understand it. our english`teacher is our tutora, and the best of

she is that if you have some question, she will answer you always. The last lesson in the hard thursday is History. in this lesson our teacher puts

some summary in the wall with the cannon and we copy it.-Pilar Gálvez

LUNCHNormally we have lunch between

14.00 and 15.00 accepts on holidays that we have lunch later on. In Spain the main meal is the lunch. The food

normally is cook with olive oil instead of butter. We eat a lot of fish and

vegetables. The are many different kinds of food to have lunch with, the

variety is enormous. In general we have first dish, second dish, desert

and coffee We usually have lunch with our families (unless the job doesn’t let this happens). After

having lunch we spend (mainly on weekends and on holidays) quiet a

lot of time talking around the table. On Christmas Day (for example) we

can stay like that for a couple of hours. - Julio Benavides

I go back the highschool at hal past two, with my father.I lay the table while my father cooks the meal.Later my mother and my sister arrive and we start to eat.Usually, I eat healthy and diverse food during all week long.I haven´t got a menu for each day.Today I eat rice with tomatoe and egg. It was delicious!!!!My favorit meal is a potatoes omelete. While my parents, my sister and I have lunch are watching news in the TV. - Laura Ayuso

The lunch in Spain is the most important meal. More or less, Spanish people usually eats at 15:00/15:30, and we eat almost anything for example: salad, meat, or all that you want. The lunch consist of two dishes, the first one is lighter than the second one and it probably was a salad, or some vegetable. The second one, is bigger, and it probably consist of some fish or meat. Finally it is the sweet, it will be a piece of fruit and a glass of milk, but some days people has something as cake or another delicious food.-Spanish products:You probably know the famous products in Spain. The most famous is the cured ham, a typical food in Spain, that sometimes accompany the lunch or the dinner. In Spain you can find olive oil at any shop, and people use it to fry food, but in other countries (GB) they use butter…In Spain, mostly at the east, you have for lunch the “paella”, that dish can be called “paella” of fish or meat. This dish has rice, some vegetables and fish or meat. It’s delicious. And another typical food is the Spanish omelet, it is a omelet that has potato and onion inside, but it is probably eaten at dinner more than for lunchA drink that people usually use to accompany the lunch is the red wine that is produced in the bigger part of Spain, mainly in “la Rioja”.The end, I hope you like this short text.-Arturo Bujarrabal
