A Common Problem among Children Worms (Krimi)

Sometimes simple problems can be misdiagnosed, leading to unnecessary tension for theperson and the family involved. We give below an example of this type of misdiagnosis.

Worms are quite common in children, because of their food habits and their constitution.

[The case is narrated by the mother of the child who was suffering from worms in the

    stomach.]

y son aged ! years had severe stomach ache for the past " months. # too$ him to all the

specialists. %ccording to my son&s pediatrician, he was diagnosed to be suffering from'%ppendicitis(. So # too$ him to an %llopathic hospital where he was treated for a period

of ) months. *uring the treatment, he underwent several scans. Still, there was no

    improvement in his condition.

%gain # went to another leading childcare hospital where the treatment went on foranother ) months. %gain scans and tests including +arium were ta$en through which the

doctors came to a conclusion that he was suffering from appendicitis. They recommendedaproscopy as the solution for the same. They wanted to open the stomach and examine

    the condition.

So, again, # went for another opinion, where after seeing all the reports, doctors came to a

conclusion that appendix has to be removed and warned of further problems if the

    procedure is delayed-avoided.

%s my son&s stomachache was still continuing, # decided to allow aproscopic surgery to

    be performed.

#n the meantime, one of my friends told me to consult her %yurvedic hysician. She was

optimistic about finding some cure there.

So # went to the %yurvedic /linic 'San0eevani( where *r 1iri0a told me that the problem

is not appendicitis but it is the intestinal worms that is troubling the stomach. So with the

given medicines and diet regulations, my son got cured within 2 month. 3e was used tota$ing lots of chocolates and sweets, which led to worms in his stomach.

Than$s to *r 1iri0a who treated my son without any scan-tests.

4ven though it was late, # am glad # went to her.
