Welcome to Trinity United Methodist Church
Welcome to worship at Trinity. Our expectation is that worship will be a time where you experience a small taste of the incredible grace of God. Trinity is a church committed to open hearts, open minds and open doors. We believe there is a place for everyone in God’s family. Children are always welcome in worship and activity bags are available. For your convenience, a nursery is provided for young children.
Trinity is Not Your Ordinary Church
We live that out through three simple steps:
Loving God and neighbor through vibrant worship
Growing in faith through intentional small group study
Serving God’s Kingdom through passion-based ministries

This is the day that the Lord has made! Let us rejoice and be glad in it! This is a day of new beginnings! Sing praises to God! Shout for joy! We lift our voices in joyful praise! In all times and in all places, God is with us. God’s love flows over and around us, lifting us in hope, peace, joy and love.
Hymn #657 (sing twice) This is the Day Opening Prayer
Loving God, we present ourselves like an open book before You. Come and inscribe Your words of life into our lives. Fill our minds with Your thoughts, fill our bodies with Your strength, fill our hearts with Your dreams, that we might love and serve You this day and every day. Amen.

VBS Projects: We are dreaming about an online VBS! We need good old fashioned snow flakes made from any kind of paper you have on hand. Making ‘snow balls’ out of Yarn pom poms would be great. Any pastel color, most any size. We hope to be able to give each VBS student a snowflake and a snowball if there are enough to go around. Do you need yarn? Get in touch with one of our decorating team members, Kelly Johnston, she has some to share. Questions? Contact Kelly, Megan Gibson, Leah Wilson or Chris Green. When your items are complete, please, store them at home for now. Send Tammy Dees an email with the number you have made at [email protected] . Thank you for your help!

Other Announcements Project Salina: — During the month of May businesses, organizations, and churches all over Salina will raise money for (5) area service agencies (Salina Emergency Aid Food Bank, Ashby House, DVACK, Rescue Mission, and Salvation). Project Salina started in 1990 to assist these five agencies feed those citizens in our community who are experiencing food insecurity. In 2020 the need has never been greater. We will raise money instead of products this year due to our “stay at home” order. Trinity’s Mission and Concerns committee has challenged First Methodist to see who can raise the most money. They have accepted our challenge. It will be a fun challenge and we hope it motivates all to participate. An example of what your $25 will provide is: 38 boxes of Mac and Cheese; 50 cans of vegetables; 27 cans of tuna. You can make your
check to the church with Project Salina designated. If you want to give cash you may specify it’s for Project Salina.
*** From the Treasurer: if you are looking for another way to give to the church during this time when we are not meeting---set up Trinity United Methodist Church, 901 E. Neal Avenue, Salina, KS. 67401 as a vendor to pay using bill pay at your bank. Be sure to note on the payment request when you set it up what it is for (general fund, building fund, etc.). Advantages: you are already using bill pay at your bank to pay other monthly bills, don’t have to hunt or go buy stamps to put on a letter, don’t have to get out and bring check by the church (which isn’t open now) and you select what date to pay and you control how many times you want to give in this manner. Landscape Care Team: Do you like to work outdoors, get fresh air, hear the birds sing? We are looking for another volunteer for our Landscape Care Team. If interested please contact Karla Waters @785.820.7578. Thank you!
