Hi everyone! We hope that you are all keeping well, whether you

are back learning at school or have been doing some fun learning

from home. Things have been very different recently but we are

excited that life is getting back to normal again and hope that,

with everyone washing their hands and staying home when they

are sick, we will see you all again very soon.

Thank you to Dallas for our ‘like words-cool’ new logo, which the

journalists voted as being much better than Sarah’s attempt!

We hope you enjoy the second edition of The Rainbow Reporter,

full of fun articles, written by your friends.

Learning From Home

Being at home was no excuse

for Amalie, Alisa and Imogen to

stop their learning. Amalie

joined in with the community

rainbow spirit by creating her

own beautiful piece of art for

display. Alisa had lots of

outdoors fun with a clever

homemade bubble wand.

Imogen kept in touch with her

neighbours by driving her cool

wheels. Great work girls!

the toy spider. She said ‘I

truck is ‘I like this–

favourite-fun’.

Imogen loves these

you to know they

are ‘ I like it-not-

Nate Reviews...His Sister

On a recent visit to Greengum, Sarah asked Nate to review a

toy. He was happy to do this, but only after he had provided

a review of his absolute new favourite thing...Baby Evie.

Nate said ‘help-uh oh-more to say-I like this-yummy-beautiful-

that’s all I have to say about that.’

He confirmed that he helps when she does an uh oh and that he

thinks she is yummy and beautiful.

Congratulations Nate, and to your Mum, Dad and big brother, on

the arrival of little Evie. We are sure you will be an awesome big

brother to her Nate.

Interview with...Mr Saleo Where do you go besides home and school?

(Wayne)

‘I like to go for bike rides. I ride to the beach

When I was travelling around Australia

in a caravan we went to a butterfly

park and there were butterflies flying

all around everyone.’ Do you play music?

(Russell)

‘I used to play the guitar

but I’m not very good. I

happy with your tissues?

(Musa)

yes I am happy with the ones we have.’

Do you like ‘Head, Shoulders,

Knees and Toes’ and ‘Row

We Have Something To Say…

About Coronavirus Uh oh!!! We can’t have visitors to our school at the moment to read

the thoughts we put up on our communication board in The

Rainbow Room. To help out, we have put your thoughts here, so

you can share them at home with your families.

Parents and Carers, this is Term 2’s discussion about the children’s

thoughts on Covid-19. Their responses might be important for you

to talk about at home. Their Term 1 thoughts on likes and dislikes

will be sent home to you by the end of term.

Please note, not all students want to contribute to the discussion

and that is ok. We are here listening for when they do want to chat.

We have not included the comments of those students without

newsletter/ media permissions.

Out and About With Adrien

We may have had to stay at home a little more than usual but

we can still go for a nice walk to get some fresh air and daily

exercise. Our reporter on the scene, Adrien, gave his opinion

on the playground and park near his home, when he was

home schooling. Once he came back to school, he gave his

opinion on the school playground too.

Now that more things are open, you might be going out a bit more.

If you would like to send in a review of somewhere you have been,

you can be a guest Roving Reporter by emailing your review and a

photo to [email protected]

Adrien thinks the park

near his house is

“Something’s Wrong– I

don’t like it-Boring!”

Adrien said that the school

playground is ‘I want to

show you something-new’

and agreed that the school

playground is much better.

We are very lucky to have an exciting STEM room at school that

all classes can go and explore. We sent a team of top reporters in

See You In Term 3 for another exciting edition

Faction Update The Faction Event for Term 2 was a Faction Quiz. Students answered

questions on Literacy, Numeracy, Values, STEM, and Entertainment, as well

as getting points for attempts to spell their name.

It was a tight race but the final scores have been added to Term 1’s total

and you can see the leaderboard below. How did your team do?

If things stay Covid-19 free in WA, we will be holding a Faction Sports Carnival

in Term 3. More information will come out next term with plenty of notice for

you to invite your own personal cheer squad along to watch!
