Greetings to the once lost but now found sheep of the house of Israel. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold. Matthew 24:12 What we have now in this country is Christ-less Christianity, a watered-down version of the once-Protestant Christian Church Christianity that is quickly replacing doctrinal purity with false teaching, all the while professing itself to be Biblical. Christ-less Christianity presents the Bible as if it were a collection of pleasurable fables, a bunch of unrelated stories, all with a nice moral ending. It ignores God’s ultimate plan for Scripture, “the redemption of sinful mankind,” rather than creating what He truly desires; self-denying disciples that will fulfill the Great Commission. And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28:18-20 The message of Christ-less Christianity creates adherents who are “lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God; having a form of godliness but denying its power…” They are described in 2 Timothy 3:4-5. Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. Repent and let each of you be Baptized for the remission of your sins, that is, going into that watery grave, where you die to your old life and are washed white as snow. (See 1 Peter 3:21, Mark 16:16, Hebrews 10:22, Galatians 3:27, Romans 6:3-5, Acts 8:36-38, as well as Acts 2:38). Baptism, where you receive your beautiful garment and are clothed with Christ Jesus, receive the gift of the Holy Spirit and your name is entered into the Lamb’s Book of Life. Then and only then are you redeemed from the world’s jurisdiction and transferred into Jesus’ jurisdiction. Then, there is absolutely nothing than can be done to you without His consent. Only God can save us from the great tribulations. Next, according to Scripture, the antichrist will appear with many empty promises of peace

and security; but in reality, it’s the yoking of mankind. During this tribulation period, the world will be ruled by a godless man presiding over an evil governmental system. The Bible associates this end-times ruler with the terrible beast in Revelation and in Daniel. There is a growing pattern of wickedness and lawlessness dominating our society today that, throughout history, was also found in civilizations in the process of decline. It is a pattern evident in nations that rejected God’s Word as the ultimate authority in their lives and is a pattern prevailing in many American’s lives today. The national, corporate-owned fake news media sanitizes its coverage of the vile acts occurring in our society and only reports on a very few of them. Vast numbers of senseless acts of violence go unreported because their reality would be too graphic for a national audience and because they do not fit ‘their’ agenda. The ‘Birth Pains’ are growing stronger…. A Judgment from God has arrived. Ezekiel 5: 16-17 When I shall send upon them the evil arrows of famine, which shall be for their destruction, and which I will send to destroy you: and I will increase the famine upon you, and will break your staff of bread: So will I send upon you famine and evil beasts, and they shall bereave thee; and pestilence and blood shall pass through thee; and I will bring the sword upon thee. I the LORD have spoken it. As we look around in society today, we see the fulfillment of 2 Timothy 3:2-5. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God – having a form of godliness but denying its power. Fear not, Remnant! Be strong and courageous! Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and heed (keep) the things which are written in it; for the time is near. What is revival and how do we get there? We started out this message, given at the pulpit of the LaPorte Church of Christ in May, with the singing of an old hymn that most of you that have been a member of the Christian faith for any period of time should remember well, “Revive Us Again.”

We praise Thee, O God! For the Son of Thy love,

For Jesus Who died And is now gone above.Hallelujah! Thine the glory, Hallelujah! Amen.Hallelujah! Thine the glory, Revive us again.

Who has shown us our Savior and scattered our night.Hallelujah! Thine the glory, Hallelujah! Amen.Hallelujah! Thine the glory, Revive us again.

All glory and praise, To the Lamb that was slain,

Who have bought all our sin And has cleansed every stain.Hallelujah! Thine the glory, Hallelujah! Amen.Hallelujah! Thine the glory, Revive us again.

Just what does it mean to “revive us again? Revive us to what? How and when are we revived? For the most part, the term “revival” has received a bad reputation and is often negatively referred to. You know, represented as the same old story line of “getting right with God.” But somehow through misuse and overuse, the true definition has become blurred in the minds of most Christians today. To some, a “revival” means attending some form of highly emotional religious meeting. To others, typically more mature in their faith, it brings back the visions of the old-fashioned tent meeting with a charismatic, evangelist Preacher leading the meeting and constantly shouting “Hallelujah,” “Praise the Lord!” and “Let me hear you say, ‘Amen!’” Followed by

the altar call. “Then the petition to give your heart to the Lord, right now!” Lastly, the calling for the ushers to come forward and pass the offering baskets, in many revival meetings, multiple times. Don’t get me wrong, there was power in those old tent meetings, but statistics also show that most of those that accepted Jesus Christ into their hearts at the spur of the moment at those meetings have long since fallen away and many are much worse off spiritually than they were before. Why? Because there was no foundation to their faith! No nurturing or encouragement to continue to grow in the grace and the knowledge of the LORD Jesus Christ! Both Matthew and Luke warn us regarding this very scenario. Matthew 12:43-45 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation You can also read the account in Luke 11:24-26. However, true revival is a Biblical concept. Let’s turn to the Book of Isaiah, Chapter 57, verse 15: For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, With him who has a contrite and humble spirit, “To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.” Then in Psalm 85:6-7, the psalmist asks God an interesting question: Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee? Shew us thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us thy salvation. The Scripture says “revive us again,” which in my simple way of thinking tells me that there had to have been a revival previously. But just what is a revival? The word revival comes from the Hebrew word chayah and actually means, “to bring back to life,” to “restore to consciousness,” or to, “restore to a previous condition.” As used in the Bible, it means a restoration, rejuvenation, or renewal of interest after spiritual neglect, oblivion, or obscurity.

What revival is not. Revival, as used in the Bible, is not evangelism, even though many may be revived as a result of evangelism. It is not emotionalism. Granted, there may be emotional manifestations connected to it. But what it is supposed to be is the personal renewal of our spiritual life, either as an individual or among a group of people. It is a form of atonement, a heartfelt return to God, His commandments, statutes and laws. When is revival needed? Whenever the love of God’s people has waxed cold, or worse yet has become run of the mill or lukewarm. God warns us regarding this specific subject in Revelation 3:15-17. I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: Think about the symptoms for the need of revival as similar to that of someone that is ill. Just as that person that is ill manifests physical symptoms, so too does the need of personal spiritual revival also exhibit “spiritual symptoms;” symptoms such as complacency, self-satisfaction or the willingness to just go along with the status quo. You know who I’m referring to; the seat-warmers that are just going through the motions and playing Church! Or perhaps a better description would be those with a lack of concern for the multitude of the lost and the suffering in the world. How can we see or read the news about all the suffering that is going on in the world, how 130,000 a day are expected to die worldwide of starvation because of the current food supply chain disruptions and not be moved by it? If we are not, I tell you, we definitely need spiritual renewal or revival. If we find ourselves hiding or covering secret sins, or worse yet making excuses for our sins, rationalizing, saying, “I will have to change that…someday,” then we need spiritual revival. Numbers 32:23 But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out. Another symptom of needing revival is having an unforgiving spirit.

Matthew 6:14-15 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Many say that they can forgive, but most just can’t seem to forget. Does not the Word say that God forgives and forgets our sins once we’ve repented of them? “As far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us.” Psalm 103:12 With regards to being filled with pride; Proverbs 29:23 A man’s pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit. And in Proverbs 16:18 we are reminded that “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.” Or, in layman’s terms, any condition of spiritual standing where we are less than we were before: “A backslidden condition.” It’s easy to find your way back to Babylon. All you have to do is take a half step back and you will fall right back into your old way of life. If this describes you or you feel yourself slipping, then YOU need spiritual revival! All of these symptoms that we just looked at are strong indications that we need to draw closer to God and His Word. But what are the hidden dangers in our need for revival? We are reminded in 2 Corinthians 4:16 that, “though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed or [revived] day by day.” We are warned in 1 Thessalonians 5:19; “Quench not the Spirit.” There are basically two ways to quench God’s Spirit. First, we can deliberately rebel against Him and say, “God, I don’t want what You have to offer. I am going to do things my way. Second, we can allow God’s Spirit to dwindle, essentially “starve” to death by our lack of renewal or replenishment.

The Apostle Paul warned in 1 Timothy 4:14; “Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.” Often, spiritual deterioration comes slowly and insidiously, without our awareness. Slowly we grow weaker and weaker inside, spiritually. Then, an unsuspected trial, tribulation or test can easily ‘‘take us out.” In Judges 14, we read how Samson had the “Spirit of God” upon him, but he chose to play

the harlot, sinned, and was found wanting. At one point in Matthew 10:5-8, the disciples had received power from Jesus to heal and cast out demons, yet later, they seem to have lost that power and their ability to cast out a certain demon and did not understand why. Jesus then gave them the answer in Mathew 17:19-20, when He told them that it was because of their unbelief or their lack of spiritual renewal. The Apostle Peter thought he was strong, until times got tough. With cursings, he denied the LORD Jesus Christ three times, see John 13:38. Often, the condition of our hearts is such that

we are not aware of our need at the very time it is most needed. So we often cover up our inadequacies with a self-deceptive shroud of self-righteousness. After all, human nature, the flesh, will fight against revival. Want proof? All you really need to do is ask yourself, “Do I study and pray in my spare time? Or do I find comfort in the things and cares of the world?” Is any-body else guilty besides me? Thus, we waste the time we could otherwise be spending with God. Remember the old saying, “The road to Hell is paved with good intentions.” To have a true spiritual revival, we must first admit that we have a need, then take action. What kind of revival do we, God’s people, need? We need a renewal or recommitment that will resurrect God’s Church, collectively, back to spiritual life. Remember, revival means a renewal, a return to life or spiritual consciousness. What did Jesus Christ say through His servant John to the Churches? It’s important for us to understand that all of the elements of all the seven churches of Asia are present with us today! The letters

were written to, “the Churches,” plural, and to the people in them. Seven times we are cautioned, “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the Churches.” What kind of revival was recommended for the seven Churches in Asia? As you read over these seven messages, I want you to ask yourself, what was Jesus’ intention in addressing the seven Churches in Revelation 2 and 3? If you were to ask me, I would say plainly that He strove to awaken or revive the Churches. It’s the same message He inspired Jude to write in Jude verse 3: “Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” Jesus rebuked the Church at Ephesus for having left its first love. See Revelation 2:4. He rebuked the Church at Smyrna because some of its members tolerated apostate believers among them, who were really workers of iniquity, doing the bidding of their father, satan. See Revelation 2:9. He rebuked the Church at Pergamos because some of its members held to the doctrine of Balaam, who hired himself out to do religious work for personal gain and held to the false doctrine of the Nicolatians. See Revelation 2:14-15. He also rebuked the Church at Thyatira because some there had listened to and tolerated false preaching, committing spiritual and even physical adultery. See Revelation 2:20-21. Jesus declared to the Church at Sardis, “Thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.” Revelation 3:1-3. He was representing that they were devoid of spiritual life and power. Then He said, “Be watchful, and strengthen the things that remain.” Revelation 3:1 He then commended members of the Church at Philadelphia for their love. He also warned

them to beware and hold fast, that no man take their crown. See Revelation 3:11. This strongly implies that there would be those in their midst who would attempt to overthrow their faith by whatever means necessary. Jesus called upon members of the Church at Laodicea to repent, but they arrogantly thought they had need of nothing. See Revelation 3:17. They had a worldly, lukewarm, neutral, compromising and accommodating attitude. So, the point here is, we need to ask ourselves, “Are any of these warnings applicable to me, personally, or to the Church of which I am part of the Body? Notice that the common admonition given to the churches was to overcome, surmount or triumph over their sins and shortcomings and return back to God! Those same warnings apply to all who call themselves Christians today. The instruction given to us in 1 Corinthians 11:28 is not just for Passover or Communion time; it is for all the time. “But let a man examine himself…” “For if we would judge ourselves,” “we should not be judged.” We need the kind of revival in the land that will rekindle the old fires. The “first love” we had when we made our public profession that Jesus Christ is our LORD and Savior and the only begotten Son of God, when we were born again of the water and the Spirit, through repentance and proper full immersion Baptism. Do you remember “those good old days,” days of dedication to the LORD and to His work? Days when you came to Church expecting great things from God; inspiring sermons, warm fellowship and spiritual satisfaction? That brings to mind another famous saying; “There would be more power in the pulpits if there were more prayer in the pews.” Do you remember the days when you wouldn’t think of missing Church in order to go and participate in any number of other secular activities? In today’s world, the enemy has done a masterful job of creating distractions and activities; the list is endless. Regarding the things today that take precedence over the Church and remembering the Sabbath day and keeping it holy, do you remember those days when you didn’t look for an excuse for why you couldn’t serve the LORD and be obedient to His commandments?

We need to cry out to God and pray earnestly, “Lord Jesus, revive us again!” The walk of true follower of Jesus Christ is a journey that involves many mountaintop experiences, but there also plateaus and valleys as well. We are reminded in the famous Psalm 23:4; Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me. We need a revival that will restore joy and victory, a sense of overcoming. Revelation 21:7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God,and he shall be my son. There are far too many defeated Christians today. Too many discouraged Christians that wallow in their own self-pity. Too many backslidden Christians that so easily fall back into their old ways and habits of life. Too many depressed Christians who will not let the past remain in the past. For whatever reason, they can’t seem to grasp the fact that we cannot change the past, we can only go forward with the present and the future. Philippians 3:13-14 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. We should wake up every morning feeling as if we have just won a great victory! Because the truth is, we have!” We need to pray as the great Prophet Habakkuk prayed, “LORD, revive Thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.” He went on to say, “Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.” In reality, only God can send revival. He alone is the source. The question we need to be asking Him is; Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee? No man or organization can schedule or plan spiritual revival. It is not something men can do. But it is what God will do if we are repentant, abide in His Word and remain faithful in constant prayer. Remember, God’s Spirit, which grants revival, is renewed in us daily, but it is also conditional! What are those conditions?

2 Corinthians 13:5 “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates.” We need to see ourselves as we truly are, as God sees us. We must be honest and acknowledge our need for repentance. I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Luke 13:5 We need to show proper reverence to God, for Who He is and stop playing Church. Psalm 31:19 “Oh, how great is Thy goodness, which Thou hast laid up for them that fear Thee; which Thou hast wrought for them that trust in Thee before the sons of men.” We must cultivate an earnest desire within our midst to be revived. If we believe strongly enough in a cause, how can we not get involved? On your own, I want you to read the entire Chapter of Psalm 51, which gives us an excellent example of David’s repentant attitude! Often, we don’t want revival badly enough to make any difference or change in our lives. Change is what Christianity is all about. We must change from what we are, our old man, and put on the new man, each day working towards the ultimate goal of becoming more and more like Jesus Christ in every way. Ephesians 4:17-23, under the subtitle, The Christians Walk! So this I say, and affirm together with the Lord, that you walk no longer just as the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind, being darkened in their understanding, excluded from

the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart; and they, having become callous, have given themselves over to sensuality for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness. But you did not learn Christ in this way, if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him, just as truth is in Jesus, that, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth. Godly character is knowing right from wrong and choosing to go God’s way, no matter what! Even if it stands directly against man’s law, seems uncomfortable, awkward or brings persecution. Isaiah 55:6-7 encourages us to seek the LORD while He may be found. Amos 8:11 reminds us that: Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: This implies to me that a time is coming when God will not be easily found. No one knows how much time we may have left. But I can tell you that God desires to send revival upon those who genuinely seek it. Revival, a returning to God, is not turned on and off like a water faucet. But if we truly desire it, pray earnestly and meet God’s conditions, then He will bestow it upon us. His desire is for us, His people, to be renewed! There are millions, no, actually billions of people out there who need to be taught what you know, but as a people, we have become complacent and self-satisfied. How can we revive others to God’s truth when we, ourselves, need reviving? Do we really think that God desires to add members to a sick, lukewarm, non-functional body? I tell you no, He does not! Romans 13:11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time! to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. It’s not without cause that Jesus asks, in Luke 18:8, “Nevertheless, when the Son of man cometh, shall He find faith upon the earth?” Will He find a spiritual revival? Let us all, those that are His, those with eyes to see and ears to hear, those that are called by His name, heed this, “Call to Pray for Revival!” Let us cry out with all our hearts and beseech God Almighty, LORD Jesus, “Wilt Thou not revive us again: that Thy people may rejoice in Thee? Shew us Thy mercy, 0 LORD and Grant us Thy salvation.” rr

Inflammation Inflammation is a normal biological process in the body in response to chemical irritation, microbial pathogen infection or tissue injury. It is initiated by the migration of immune cells from blood vessels and the release of mediators at the site of damage. This process if followed by the recruitment of inflammatory cells and the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines and reactive nitrogen species (RNS), which are a family of antimicrobial molecules derived from nitric oxide and super oxides that

act together with biochemical called reactive oxygen species (ROS) to damage cells, causing ‘nitro stative stress.’ This process takes place to eliminate foreign pathogens and repair injured tissues. In general, normal inflammation is rapid and self-limiting, but prolonged inflammation can cause various chronic disorders. Many plants possess anti-inflammatory compounds which can reduce swelling rapidly and are described in further detail further on in this book.THE LYMPHATIC SYSTEM The lymphatic system is part of the immune system and is a channel that carries a clear of off-white fluid, known as lymph, which travels via the lymphatic channels, a network of tubes or vessels, much like the blood vessels, that are spread throughout tissues of the body. Lymph originates as plasma, the fluid portion of the blood. It collects debris, chemicals, toxins, bacteria, viruses and lymphocytes (a type of white blood cells) on its way back from the body’s tissues. As with blood vessels, the lymphatic channels branch into ever smaller vessels in order to serve distant organs and tissues. Their smallest may be only a few cells thick. These are called lymphatic capillaries. The walls of the capillaries are usually just a single cell thick. This helps to allow the immunity-producing lymphocytes plus toxins, microbes and chemicals to move freely into and out of the lymph capillaries freely. The blood vessels also branch to capillaries at their smallest. These blood-carrying capillaries give out a clear fluid known as plasma, the liquid component of blood. This plasma bathes the tissues and then enters the lymphatic channels as lymph. The lymph channels eventually drain at a large lymphatic vessel called the thoracic duct that drains into a blood vessel in the chest. All the filtered fluid, salts

and proteins as well as debris ends up in the bloodstream. The lymph nodes are small bean-shaped glands or bulbs that tend to occur in clusters like grapes. Along the lymph channels there are approximately 600 lymph nodes that act as filters and sieve off the harmful substances brought by the lymphatic channels. The lymphatic channels of the fingers, hand and arm, for example, travel to be filtered at the lymph nodes that lie at the elbow and the arm

pit. Similarly, those of the toes, calves and thighs drain into nodes behind the knees and the groin. Lymph channels from the face, head and scalp drain at the nodes present at the back of the head, behind the ears and sides of the neck. Some lymph nodes are located deeper within the body, in the chest (between the two lobes of the lungs), around the coils of the intestines and in the pelvis, for example.Functions of the Lymphatic System The lymphatic system has three main roles:

It is part of the immune system It maintains fluid balance and It is essential for the absorption of fats and fat-soluble nutrients.

ANTIBIOTICS Over-and mis-use of lab-produced antibiotics have led to the development of resistant ‘superbugs,’ some of which have now become untreatable by these antibiotics. This is causing great concern as it may lead to the inability to perform lifesaving surgery. Modern medicine is running out of effective ways to combat these deadly bacteria and the development of new antibiotics has not kept up for a variety of reasons. However, there are hundreds of powerful largely forgotten botanical remedies that have antibiotic properties, often equal in effectiveness to many lab-produced antibiotics.
