So What’s the Problem?
The 9 Elephants in the (Class)Room
1. Most of our students will forget most of the
content that they “learn” in school.
2. Most of our students are bored and
disengaged in school.
3. Deep, lasting learning requires conditions
that schools and classrooms simply were
not built for.
4. We’re not assessing many of the things that
really matter for future success.
5. Grades, not learning, are the outcomes that
students and parents are most interested in.

6. Curriculum is just a guess.
7. Separating learning into discrete subjects and
time blocks is not the best way to prepare
kids for the real world.
8. The system of education as currently
constructed is not adequately preparing kids
for what follows if and when they graduate.
9. Learning that sticks is usually learned
informally. Explicit knowledge accounts for
very little of our success in most professions.

Top 10 Soft Skills in demand of today's corporate world
Soft Skills- What are they? Soft skills are general skills—like the ability to
accept feedback, work collaboratively, manage your time, etc. These are
skills that will help you in a wide range of jobs, not just the target job you're
applying for. Here are the top ten soft skills in demand for today's jobs:
1. Communication skills: It's more than just speaking the language.
Communication skills involve active listening, presentation as well as
excellent writing capabilities. One highly sought-after communication skill
is the ability to explain technical concepts to partners, customers and co-
workers that aren't tech-savvy.
2. Computer and technical literacy: Almost all jobs nowadays require basic
competency in computer software, but many job seekers fail to
