ABRAHAM LINCOLN AMERICA’S HERO
By: JD
How did Abraham
Lincoln become president? (What challenges did he go
through?)
What was Abraham’s childhood
like?
WHAT WAS ABRAHAM’S CHILDHOOD LIKE?(CONT.)
He grew up in Indiana. He was born in a log cabin. His mom died when he was 9
years old. He had one year of “real”
education. He loved to read and learn from
any book he could get his hands on.
WHAT WAS ABRAHAM’S CHILDHOOD LIKE?(CONT.) Abraham Lincoln’s father didn’t allow
him to go to school. Instead he had to chop wood, build fences, plant corn, and drive the horses.
Abraham’s childhood was very interesting and I hope you enjoyed my
short presentation about him and maybe you will stay for my next slide. It
will be about what his role was in the civil war. Thank you bye-bye!
What was Abraham’s role in the
civil war?
WHAT WAS ABRAHAM’S ROLE IN THE CIVIL WAR? (CONT.)
He almost persuaded people into thinking that slavery was wrong. He knew it was going to be a hard challenge to do.
7 states succeeded because of his inauguration.
He was a (wonderful) president during the civil war and it takes great courage to be a leader in a situation like that.
WHAT WAS ABRAHAM’S ROLE IN THE CIVIL WAR? (CONT.)Abraham Lincoln said that we must be one nation not part slave and part free. Abraham is half of the
reason that America is free. He acted like a leader
in the civil war. He is Americas hero!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
I was born in Cary, North Carolina. I have 4 pets; 1 dog, and 3 mice. I was
inspired to write this power point about Abraham Lincoln because over the years I have been noticing how important he is to America. Another
reason is because one day I was reading a book about ghosts and he apparently has a ghost. I hope you
enjoyed my power point presentation! I look forward to
making more!
