17th November 2017 We are delighted to be moving into our beauful new Nursery building this week. The Nursery team, with a few helpers from Year 6, have been working very hard to get everything set up and ready for the Nursery children to start on Monday 20th November. The Nursery classes also have new names. Pines 1 class will now become Laurel class and Pines 2 class will become Larch class. As well as a beauful new indoor space, the children also have a great new climbing frame and sandpit in the outdoor space, where we know lots of wonderful learning will con- nue to happen. Key Stage Two Football League Our Key Stage Two football teams got off to a winning start in this year's Camden League at Regent High. The boys won all three of their matches, against St George the Martyr (1-0), Our Lady's (2-0) and Christ Church (2-1). The boys are currently second in their league on goal difference. Our girls are also undefeated aſter three games. They drew with St George the Martyr (0-0), won against Our Lady's (1-0) and beat Christ Church (4-0). The girls are top of their league. Well done to both teams for a very promising start to the season! Year 4 This half term, Year 4 have been learning about the Romans. We found out how Spartacus (a famous Ro- man Gladiator and slave) escaped gladiator school and headed up mount Vesuvius where he won many bales. We then designed our own escape plans, acted them out and used them as inspiraon to write a diary entry as Spartacus. As well as that, we also had a visit from some history teachers from The Hall School, who taught us more about how the Romans invaded Britain and what clues they leſt. We are now conducng our own research into what life was like then in comparison to now. We feel lucky to be alive now as many Roman children (parcularly girls) did not get to go to school! A big thank you from Euston food bank volunteers for all the harvest donaons that were collected at Richard Cobden Primary School. Our harvest weighed in at 91.30kg. Thank you very much for all your generous contribuons.

We are delighted to be moving into our beautiful new Nursery building this week. The Nursery team, with a few helpers from Year 6, have been working very hard to get everything set up and ready for the Nursery children to start on Monday 20th November.

The Nursery classes also have new names. Pines 1 class will now become Laurel class and Pines 2 class will become Larch class.

As well as a beautiful new indoor space, the children also have a great new climbing frame and sandpit in the outdoor space, where we know lots of wonderful learning will con-tinue to happen.

Key Stage Two Football League

Our Key Stage Two football teams got off to a winning start in this year's Camden League at Regent High. The

boys won all three of their matches, against St George the Martyr (1-0), Our Lady's (2-0) and Christ Church (2-1).

The boys are currently second in their league on goal difference. Our girls are also undefeated after three games.

They drew with St George the Martyr (0-0), won against Our Lady's (1-0) and beat Christ Church (4-0). The girls

are top of their league. Well done to both teams for a very promising start to the season!

Year 4

This half term, Year 4 have been learning about the Romans. We found out how Spartacus (a famous Ro-man Gladiator and slave) escaped gladiator school and headed up mount Vesuvius where he won many battles. We then designed our own escape plans, acted them out and used them as inspiration to write a diary entry as Spartacus. As well as that, we also had a visit from some history teachers from The Hall School, who taught us more about how the Romans invaded Britain and what clues they left. We are now conducting our own research into what life was like then in comparison to now. We feel lucky to be alive now as many Roman children (particularly girls) did not get to go to school!

A big thank you from Euston food bank volunteers for all the harvest donations that were collected at Richard Cobden Primary School. Our harvest weighed in at 91.30kg. Thank you very much for all your generous contributions.

Year 6 at the Science Museum

On Friday, Year 6 visited the Science Museum. At the museum we watched a 'Live Wire!' show, which taught us all about how electricity is generated, how circuits work and how our homes are powered.

After the show, we im-mersed ourselves in the Wonder Lab, where we became scientists our-

selves. We saw how lightening is made, how static shock is created and lots more. The Wonderlab sparked our curiosity about the world around us!
