Media Release November 2017

SCRAP Corporation

XX November 2017 – Real Escape Game by SCRAP Corporation (“SCRAP”) will be launching the world’s first real-

life escape game “theme park” in Shinjuku’s Kabukicho. The facility is named Tokyo Mystery Circus (TMC), and will

have 5 floors of entertainment for visitors.

On board are ticketing company E Plus Inc. (Eplus), and broadcasting station Nippon Broadcasting System, Inc

(JOLF). TOKYO MYSTERY CIRCUS will be operated as a joint effort between the three companies.

SCRAP has been producing and running game events for the past 10 years, and they are one of the biggest escape

game content producers in the world. This is their biggest domestic project yet and will contain the most number

of games in a single location among their facilities. TOKYO MYSTERY CIRCUS is scheduled to be completed in

November 2017.

Tickets to all games in TOKYO MYSTERY CIRCUS can be purchased online from 11 November 2017 (Saturday).

To further their reach to the global audience, TOKYO MYSTERY CIRCUS will be offering the following three games

in English: a 10-minute real escape game “Escape from The Prison”, the stealth game “THE SECRET AGENT –Destroy

the Ultimate Weapon–“, and the projection mapping game “Spellbound Supper”.

Tokyo Mystery Circus, a place where you’ll find the world’s best puzzles, is opening in December 2017

A “Theme Park” Filled with Mystery in the Middle of Shinjuku’s Kabukicho!

Be a real-life spy, take part in jail-breaking, enjoy projection mapping games and more! Experience a variety of games at one location.

Besides the newly launched game concept Real Stealth Game, another unique game experience to look forward

to is the Projection Table Game “Spellbound Supper”. Players sit around a dinner table and solve puzzles with an

interactive projection mapping system.

With Shinjuku being a hot tourist destination, the three companies believe that the addition of TOKYO MYSTERY

CIRCUS will give tourists yet another reason to visit the area for a never before experience. This entertainment

facility will be new for Japanese players as well, and TOKYO MYSTERY CIRCUS is glad to offer the same content to

English-speaking players concurrently.

The games can be played in either Japanese or English, and tickets to both languages will go on sale at the same

time on 11 November 2017.

The highlight of the facility is a newly developed game concept by SCRAP called Real Stealth Game. The edition

that can be played at TOKYO MYSTERY CIRCUS is called THE SECRET AGENT –Destroy the Ultimate Weapon–.

With an immersive spy-centric story and an elaborate environment that mimics an enemy’s base, players work

together in groups of threes to deceive the eyes of armed security guards and traps. By solving puzzles along the

way, they will make it to the final room to destroy the ultimate weapon.

Unlike the typical Real Escape Games where participants in locked rooms have to use clues around them to solve

puzzles and eventually escape, Real Stealth Game offers a heightened experience with the adrenaline rush brought

about by the fear of getting caught by enemies. The game venue is also more elaborate than most Real Escape

Games, with players having to maneuver through classic spy obstacles.

Real Stealth Game can also be played more than once – this is something you are not allowed to do in a typical

escape game. Players can challenge the game as many times as they like, and fight for the top spot as the fastest

spy unit.

Become a spy and infiltrate the enemy’s base in Shinjuku!

The Projection Table Game, “Spellbound Supper”, utilizes digital art technology where participants solve puzzles that are projected onto their table. With every correct answer or action made, the images and sounds change like magic into a new puzzle.

The goal is to get through the mystical dinner hosted by a powerful witch and leave the dinner table unscathed. Players are challenged puzzle after puzzle to outwit the witch and her scheme to keep them in her clutches forever.
