name and password.

Roles of the Department Administrator

1. Creation of Master Data (Posts/Cadres)

2. Providing Login IDs and Passwords to Department Users in

top down manner. (From ACS/Pr. Secretary/Secretary to

Department Assistant)

3. Creating Sub-departments/Directorates/Commissionerates and

providing Admin IDs to them.

1. Creation of Master Data (Posts/Cadres):Defining 'Posts/Cadres' required for each

Bindu Namavali of your department.

2. Providing Login IDs and Passwords to Department Users in top down manner:

2.1 Defining 'User Type' for department users in top down manner:Defining

which type of users will be involved in roster preparation/approval process.

2.1.1 By default user type covers Mantralaya ‘Cadres/Designations’, for other

designations click on ‘New User Type’ radio button and define new user type in top

down manner of user hierarchy.

2.1.2 Sorting Order: Provide sort order 1 to department head (ACS/Principal

Secretary/Secretary), 2 to Joint Secretary/Deputy Secretary and so on for Mantralaya

cadres.

2.1.3 For other than Mantralaya cadres follow the same process.

2.2 Desk registration for the department (if any): If required giving desk number

to the users involved in the roster preparation/approval process.

2.3 User registration for each user of the department in top down manner of

defined 'UserType':Registering users in a top down approach from Head of the

department to lower level and providing them user name and passwords, user name

could be official email ID or generic name mentioning department name and 'User type'

(e.g. Director of DIT department can have user name as dit_dir)

3. Creating ‘Sub-departments/Directorates/Commissionerates’ and providing

Admin IDs to them:

3.1 Creating field departments (if any):Creating ‘Sub-

departments/Directorates/Commissionerates’ under parent department.
