TORS OF GWINNETT COUN-TY WHO RESIDE IN THEAREA PROPOSED TO BEINCORPORATED INTO THECITY OF PEACHTREE COR-NERS PURSUANT TOHOUSE BILL 396 (ACT 90)PASSED DURING THE 2011LEGISLATIVE SESSION:
Pursuant to House Bill 396passed during the 2011 Leg-islative Session of the Geor-gia General Assembly whichcalls for an election on theTuesday after the first Mon-day in November 2011 todetermine the questionwhether the Act shall beapproved which incorporatesthe City of Peachtree Cor-ners in Gwinnett Countyaccording to the charter pro-vided in House Bill 396, theGwinnett County Board ofRegistrations and Elections(hereinafter known as the"Board"), Elections Superin-tendent for Gwinnett County,is charged with the duty ofcalling for the Special Elec-tion to be held on the Tues-day after the first Monday inNovember 2011.
Therefore, the Board doeshereby issue the call for saidSpecial Election to be heldon November 8, 2011. Thepurpose of said Special Elec-tion is to place before thequalified electors of GwinnettCounty who reside in thearea proposed to be incorpo-rated into the City ofPeachtree Corners, forapproval or rejection, thequestion stated in House Bill396 concerning the approvalof the Act which incorpo-rates the City of PeachtreeCorners according to thecharter contained in HouseBill 396, to-wit:
Shall the Act incorporatingthe City of Peachtree Cor-ners in Gwinnett Countyaccording to the chartercontained in the Act beapproved?( ) YES( ) NO
All persons desiring to votefor approval of the Act shallvote "YES" and all personsdesiring to vote for rejectionof the Act shall vote "NO." Ifmore than one-half of thevotes cast on such questionare for approval of the Act, itshall become of full forceand effect as provided inSection 8.11 of this charter,otherwise it shall be voidand of no force and effect.
For the purposes of the ref-erendum election describedabove, the qualified electorsof the City of Peachtree Cor-ners shall be those qualifiedelectors of Gwinnett Countyresiding in the corporate lim-its of the City of PeachtreeCorners as described inAppendix A of the charter
day after the first Monday inNovember 2011 to deter-mine the question whetherthe Act shall be approvedwhich amends the charter ofthe City of Norcross,approved March 28, 1990,as amended, particularly byan Act approved April 13,2001, so as to change thecorporate limits of the Cityby annexing certain unincor-porated land, the GwinnettCounty Board of Registra-tions and Elections (here-inafter known as the"Board"), Elections Superin-tendent for Gwinnett County,is charged with the duty ofcalling for the Special Elec-tion to be held on the Tues-day after the first Monday inNovember 2011.

If more thanone-half of the votes cast onsuch question are forapproval of the annexation,then the Act shall becomeeffective on January 1,2012. If more than one-halfof the votes cast on suchquestion are for rejection ofthe annexation, the Act shallnot become effective andshall be automaticallyrepealed on the first day ofJanuary immediately follow-ing the election date.
The Special Election shallbe conducted in theprecincts of the qualifiedelectors residing in the areaproposed to be annexed intothe City of Norcross. Thepolls will open at 7:00o’clock A.M. and close at7:00 o’clock P.M.
