DOCSIS/EuroDOCSIS 3.0 –VoIP cable modem DCV 300Kathrein’s DCV 300 is a DOCSIS/EuroDOCSIS 3.0-com-pliant VoIP cable modem. It is designed for DOCSIS/EuroDOCSIS data transmission in HFC networks and for the provisioning of telephony services (VoIP over Cable). Thanks to 4-channel bonding, download speeds of up to 200 Mbps are achieved for TCP applications in Bridge Mode. The DCV 300 automatically identifies if the proto-col is DOCSIS or EuroDOCSIS, allowing easy commis-sioning without requiring manual intervention. Its attrac-tive, ultra-compact design and a wide scope of delivery ensure smooth operation and a high level of customer acceptance.
The DCV 300 allows operators to provide first-class Triple-Play services: Broadband Internet up to 200 Mbps, HD-quality video-on-demand and two telephone con-nections constitute a clear competitive advantage over Internet services offered by DSL providers. What‘s more, the comprehensive management functions, telephone signalling options and IPv6 protocol offer the operator a future-proof platform for attractive, up-to-date services.
