Thought of the Week
Go the extra mile. It’s never
crowded.
Inclusion Life Skills Trip
On 18th June, the Inclusion team
took their students on a day out.
They caught the bus into town,
something several of the students
had never done before, arriving with
plenty of time to play in the park
before going to try lots of new foods
for lunch. Staff really enjoyed seeing
the students have such a lovely day.
Head Boy & Girl
We said we’d announce our
new Head Boy and Girl this
week, but we haven’t had
chance to speak to everyone
yet, so we will do that next
week. We invited the 18/19
Head and Deputy Head Boys and Girls to our staff briefing to thank
them for their work and wish them well for the future. Ethan,
Louisa, David and Sabra have been wonderful ambassadors for the
school and we are very proud of them.
Acocks Green Lions
Thank you to Sara Moseley and the Acocks Green Lions for funding the Inclusion Life Skills trip and a donation of £100 towards Saad’s trip
to the Transplant Games. We are very grateful for the Lions’ support.

TEXT
As a teenager, your body is going through many physical changes (growth and development), changes that need to be supported by a healthy, balanced diet. Some important nutrients for you to be aware of are: iron (from meat, beans, nuts), vitamin D (from oily fish such as salmon, red meat and egg yolks) and calcium (from milk, cheese, green leafy vegetables such as broccoli).

Prefixes can help us understand the meaning of words. For example, bi means two e.g. bicycle.
Can you think of other words which begin with bi?
