Michael Blodgett Summer Camp Opportunities We hope you are all enjoying the first official day of your Summer Break! In case you're already missing your time here at Central, we wanted to make sure you were aware of a few camp opportunities that we are offering this summer. Art & STEM Camps will both be offered June 25-27 (see attached brochures for details). If your child will be attending both, there is a half hour between the camps and they are welcome to stay during that time. Activities will be provided for those students and they will be brought to the next camp at the starting time. Please note that registration for these two camps is Friday, May 31st. A Drama Camp is also going to be offered this summer August 7-9 (see attached brochures for details)! We look forward to having students back in the building for these camps! 5% Tuition Discount Dates Dates are available to families of K-8 students who would like to pay their 2019/20 tuition in full in order to receive a 5% discount (please note that the 5% discount does not include the $500 enrollment fee and preschool tuition). Days are: May 29 from 7am-12pm & 1-2pm May 30 from 7am-12pm & 1-2pm May 31 from 7am-12pm The deadline to receive the discount is May 31. If you are not able to attend on May 29-31, and you wish to pay early, please contact Mr. Messmann at 493-2502 or [email protected] to set up an appointment. SCRIP Summer Hours SCRIP will be available to purchase at Central on Thursdays from 6:30-7:30pm this summer. Staffing Updates 2019/2020 CLS is excited to announce a staffing update for next school year! Two different committees have met for the past four months and after many interviews, we have decided to contract two teachers for next year. Mrs. Star Smith will be moving from our 5 year old Kindy Prep class to our 3rd grade. Mrs. Smith taught third grade in the Northwest Allen County system prior to coming to CLS. She has earned a Master's Degree in special education and was even named Teacher of the Year for NWACS. Additionally, Mr. Jonathan Bolt will move to our social studies department next year and we will be bringing on Mrs. Susan Brockberg as our junior high school science teacher. Mrs. Brockberg comes to CLS with experience in Lutheran schools in Michigan, Florida, and China. She has earned a Master's Degree in curriculum and has helped establish STEM programs in Detroit and in Haiti. We welcome Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Brockberg! We are thankful that God has led you to serve at CLS. Summer News!

Summer News!

Gar Creek VBS - Miraculous Mission VBS at St. Paul Gar Creek will be held June 9-13, 2019 from 6:30-8:30 each night. The theme will be the Miraculous Mission – Jesus saves the world! Children from age 4 through 5th grade completed may attend. Please email [email protected] if you are not a member of St. Paul to let us know you are able to attend. Members of St. Paul will be able to register at church.

Emanuel VBS - Polar Blast VBS at Emanuel will be held July 14-17, 2019 from 5:30-7:45 each night. Volunteer and Participant registration opens online May 1st. Paper forms are available in the church office. Visit our website to learn more! www.vbspro.events/p/emanuelnh

Martini VBS - Miraculous Mission VBS at Martini will be held June 24-28 from 6-8pm with supper served at 5:15pm. The theme will be Miraculous Mission: Jesus Saves the World. Lift off for an intergalactic adventure and learn about God’s plan of salvation from creation to the cross. Please prayerfully consider joining us in sharing the Gospel with our neighbor children and their families. Registration forms are available in the church office.
