Doesn’t matter you are on the soil of any nation of earth, being ahead will require traits of Leadership.

We all wish to have a particular set of skills in us which will help us to overcome our competition. In this post, leader does not represent only political leaders but every entrepreneur, teacher, social activist, engineer, etc.

1. Never repeat the same mistake twice:

Everyone makes mistakes but Great leaders are those wholearn from their mistakes.

Mistake is a natural way of stepping your steps towardsprogress and success but no good leader can afford tomake the same mistake twice. There are many leaderswho had a dairy of mistakes. One of which was our ownbeloved Bapu.

2. Learn to be with people, be of people:

Leaders are made when followers exist.

It’s very important for a leader to understand peoplearound him/her. Every leader needs to change himself asper need of people that he wish to lead and moldhimself for better completion of desired task. Resolvingproblems of people will help to lead better.

3. Read, read some more & further more:

Reading and staying updated is the base of thefoundation on which leaders decision-making isplanned. Without staying updated a leaders decision isoutdated and is replaced by someone else who makesbetter efforts. Staying updated may include completeinformation about his own field, current affairs of theworld & also necessary tech skills.

For example: a best leader gets applause but hedoesn’t know basic use of computers & mobiles, itwon’t be possible for him to survive in this era.

4. Communication abilities at its best:

“People praise innovators but people follow and getinfluenced by a communicator”

This one point has made history’s greatest leader andhelped the greatest leaders to fail and fall in its absence.People follow those who speak well and touch theirhearts, people tend to remember best lines of leadersthey follow, Thus it’s very important for a leader to havegood vocabulary and articulation.

5. Know your foe, know when to hit hard

When you have followers, You have people who wantsthe same. And they might go any extent to have them atyour place. Knowing your foe plays the role of a weaponin a battle. If you don’t know your weapon & how to usedefeat is promised.Same way in real life, one needs to know one’s enemiesand their weaknesses. It’s also important that when youhit your enemy, you hit at the right time and at rightpoint to ensure maximum damage.

6. Know other’s failure stories not only success stories:

People often say: Read success stories, they will inspireyou, but one thing that people leave behind is theimportance of failure stories.They have something to offer to you which you don’tneed to practically experience, but you can gain thelesson and save time & resources.

7. Don’t limit yourself, push your limits:

If everyone could have a limit as a leader, everyone would be a leader.

Leaders don’t give up. They get what they want and thenthey be satisfied. If you aspire to be a leader, you can’tafford to give excuses for not trying hard. Keep you limitshigh and push them higher.

8. Follow other leaders but to be better than them:

You know where you stand if you know where others are standing.

A leader needs to follow other leaders and take inspirations from them and try being a better leader than them. This is a very effective & never-ending practice.

9. Think thoroughly before making decisions:

Leaders do not make hasty decisions. They think over adecision in both states of mind that is aggressive & calm.Regretting is not a word is leader’s dictionary. You becareful with a decision or you consider it a mistake andnever repeat it again.
