    (2) Evacuate casualties by air upon call of, Commanding General,Eighth Army*e. Commanding General, Western Visayan Task Force will:

    (1) Coordinate and supervise the calling forward of shipments.containing personnel, equipment and. supplies from LEYTEIS LAI to the JMDOftO area.(2) Be responsible for resupply arrangements with USASOS,Base UK"* except as stated in paragraph 2 c (2) below*

    2. SUPPLY.a. Requisitions.

    (1) Requisitions for Classes I, II, III (except as mentioned;.' in paragraph 1 d (3) above) and IV will be consolidatedand submitted to USASOS, Base uKli with information copiesto this headquarters(2) Requisitions for equipment in excess of T/E allowancesor special authorization from higher headquarters willbe routed through this headquarters^ in compliance withUSAFFE Regulation 20-10.

    (3) Requisitions will be prepared in accordance with EighthArmy Circular 7, seriesb. Supply levels to be maintained in MINDORO'area:

    a OBOE VI is an amphibious operation in the BRUNEI BAY areaof northwestern BORNEO for the purpose of:(1) Establishing air and an advance fleet base for thesupport of future operations, and(2) Securing and protecting rubber and oil producing andprocessing facilities in the area,

    b. Assault elements will employ assault naval craft in themovement from I.DR.QTAI to the objective area,c. The plan, visualizes the establishment of an AUSTRALIANArmy Advance Base in the BRUNEI BAY area and the establishment of airelements on rehabilitated existing airdromes on LABUAN ISLAND^ BRUNEIBAY and adjacent areas.

    3. EVACUATION.a. Casualties.

    (1) During the assault phase, all casualties requiringextended hospit'alization will be evacuated .by navalassault craft, augmented as required by hospital, ships, to Australian hospitals at KOSOTAI, this tobe augmented by a,ir evacuation as sdon as practicable.Only in emergencies will, evaluation be by heavy shipping. In emergency, evacuation may be to USASOSbases in NKJ GUINEA. A 30-day evacuation policy from ,the objective aref- vd.ll be established at the earliestpractical date.

    (2) Necessary evacuation, over and above that by navalassault shipping and by air, will be by Geneva-protectedhospital ships. These ships will be under the operational control of the Commander, ALLIED NAVALForces, when operating f orwe.rd of HOROTAI.(3) Commanders operating air and surface shipping usedfor evacuation are responsible for the provisionof adequate medical supplies, personnel, and equipment for the c?:re of casualties enroute.(4) The General Officer Commanding, I AUSTRALIAN Corps,will:

    (a) Be responsible for evacuation to airstrips andbeaches in the objective area.

    (b) Advise the Commanding General, USAFFS, of allcasualties in US Army troop units employed inthe operation, to include report as to natureand extent of injury and the extent of hos- 'pitalization required.(5) The Commander, ALLIED NAVAL Forces, will:

    (a) Be responsible for overwater evacuation fromthe objective area until relieved by the Commander, ALLIED LAND Forces, on or aboutZ / 20.

(See

    Par. 3a(2), 4(b)(5)(f), and 4b(6)(c) herein.)(6) The Commander ALLIED AIR Forces, will:

    (a) Be responsible for air evacuation and vdll determine the practicability therefor.,.(b) Provide stripside medical service as is required.

    (7) Th3 Commander,'ALLIED LAND Forces, will:(a) Assume responsibility for surface evacuationcoincident with the assumption of responsibility for logistic support in the objectivearea.
