WHY SHOULD MY COMPANY SUPPORT THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY? Your company’s participation in the American Cancer Society Cincinnati Golf Classic provides the opportunity to support the fight against cancer. The Society helps people reduce their risk of cancer; provide free programs and ser-vices for cancer patients; fund ground breaking research; and make sure cancer remains a priority issue for elected officials.

REDUCING YOUR RISK OF CANCERMore than 1.6 million new cancer cases are expected to be diagnosed in 2012. Smoking is the number one cause of cancer and the American Cancer Society provides resources to not only assist in quitting smoking, but also living a healthy lifestyle. Cancer is most treatable in its early stages; the Society provides educational information and pro-grams that include reminders to get screened and regular examinations. Programs like Choose You are dedicated to providing healthy alternatives increasing your chances of a life without cancer.

PROGRAMS AND SERVICESThe American Cancer Society understands that finding out you or someone you love has cancer is hard. We provide resources through our National Cancer Information Center, which you can call anytime day or night, to guide you through your cancer journey. Places like the Musekamp Family Hope Lodge provide a place for cancer patients and their caregivers to stay while going through treatment free of charge. Last year we saved families who stayed at the Hope Lodge more than $300,000 in housing cost while away from home receiving treatments.

GROUND BREAKING RESEARCHAs the nation’s largest non-governmental investor in cancer research, contributing about $3.6 billion, we turn what we know about cancer into what we do. As a result, nearly 12 million people in America who have had cancer and count-less more who have avoided it will be celebrating birthdays this year.

KEEPING CANCER AT THE FOREFRONT A grassroots force of citizen-soldiers, we work with lawmakers to pass laws to defeat cancer and rally communi¬ties worldwide to join the fight. We fought to increase government funding for cancer research, establish smoke-free poli-cies, and improve access to affordable, quality health care. We also celebrate, remember, and fight back through com-munity events such as Relay For Life and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.

JOINING FORCES WITH A TRUSTED BRAND The American Cancer Society is one of the most recognized names in the country, boasting 96% name recognition. The majority of Americans have a positive image of the American Cancer Society. Association with the American Cancer Society is a competitive advantage for your company, generating a more positive corporate image, improved customer loyalty, and increased sales potential.

Dear Business Leaders and Friends,

On behalf of PNC, I’d like to introduce you to the American Cancer Society’s

Cincinnati Golf Classic, Southwestern Ohio’s premier golf event held at Kenwood

Country Club. PNC has been a longtime supporter of this important event and we’re honored

to continue in our role as Title Sponsor. Over the years the golf classic has afforded us the

opportunity to play a vital role in raising funds to fight cancer while simultaneously spending

quality time with our fellow business leaders, customers and prospects. We’ve found at PNC

that there is no better event in Cincinnati to help foster these relationships while enjoying a

truly memorable experience rich in amenities and high quality services.

Each of us in one way or another has been touched by cancer and understands the devastation

this horrible disease can cause. Whether a family member, friend or the Cincinnati community

in general, the effects are long suffering. PNC does recognize there has been tremendous

progress made in seeking cures, improving treatments and in easing the human condition

during the battle. Our greatest hope is that through events such as the golf classic funds can

be raised to help continue improvements and finding cures.

PNC’s partnership with the American Cancer Society is one we are extremely honored to
