Getting startedTo prevent scratches on the display when transporting, there is a protective plastic sheet
covering the screen. Please remove this before use.

When power is connected, the frame will turn on automatically.
You will see the ‘Kaiser Baas’ logo and a slideshow will start playing.
Thereareanumberofpicturefilesontheon-boardmemoryfordemonstration
purposes that are accessible when selecting the ‘Favourite’option.Thedemon-
stration files cannot be deleted.
Press the ‘Return’ button to exit the slideshow and go to the main menu. You will now
seethefollowingscreen-

To set the correct time and date press the directional button to select ‘Time’ then press the
‘Play/Pause’ button to select.
Usetheanddirectionalbuttonstoselect,presstheanddirectionalbuttonstochange and
press the ‘Play/Pause’ button to confirm.
Press the ‘Return’ button to return to the main menu.

Transferring your media filesThe8.0”DigitalPhotoFramehas2GBofon-boardmemory.Toplayyourphoto,musicand
videofilesfromtheon-boardmemory,youneedtoconnectthedevicetoyourcomputer
to copy over your files.
ConnecttheUSBcableintotheUSBinputonthedevice–
ConnecttheotherendofthecableintoaspareUSBportonthecomputer–
MENU
Go to ‘Setup’, select ‘Common’, for PC connection change ‘USB Mode’ to ‘PC’ then press
the ‘Play/Pause’ button to confirm.
You will see a ‘Connecting with the PC’ message on the frame and the computer will
detect the frame as a removable device.

WindowsClick ‘Start’ > ‘Computer’, you will see a ‘Removable Disk’iconwith1.72GBfree.
Doubleclickthistoaccesstheon-boardmemory.
It is recommended to create folders as it will be easier to organise your files.
Click ‘New folder’ and create a ‘Photos’ folder for your picture files, a ‘Music’ folder for your music
files and a ‘Videos’folderforyourvideofiles.Youcanalsocreatesub-folderswithinthosefolders,
for example, ‘Photos’ > ‘Birthdays’.
Copy your various media files into the relevant folders.
Whenareyouarefinished,disconnecttheUSBcablefromtheframe.
MacOnthedesktopyouwillseethisicon–

Playing a slideshowTo play a slideshow, press the or directional buttons to select ‘Photo’, then select the
location of your photo files.
Fortheon-boardmemoryselect‘MEMORY’.
For the SD card select ‘SD’.
FortheUSBmemorystickselect‘USB’.
Press the ‘Play/Pause’ button to confirm.
Theslideshowwillautomaticallystartplaying.Ifyouhavephotosinmultiplesub-folders,
thesub-folderthatwascreatedfirstwillplay.
Press the or directional buttons to select a different photo to display.
Press the ‘Play/Pause’ button to pause a slideshow and press again to continue playing. When a
slideshow is paused, information about the photo such as file name, file type, file size and
resolutionwillappearbrieflyon-screen.
Press or buttons to adjust the volume if you have background music enabled.
Press the ‘MODE’ button to change the aspect ratio.

Press the ‘On-screen menu’ button to adjust settings for playback, enable background music,
zoom, rotate, brightness, transition type and slideshow duration.
If you would like to display a thumbnail of your photos press the ‘Return’button–

Ifyouwouldliketoplayaslideshowfromadifferentsub-folder,pressthe‘Return’ button again to
select a different location.
To exit ‘Photo’ mode press the ‘Return’ button until you see the main menu.

Playing video filesTo play video files press the or directional buttons to select ‘Movie’, then select the
location of your video files.
Fortheon-boardmemoryselect‘MEMORY’.
For the SD card select ‘SD’.
FortheUSBmemorystickselect‘USB’.
Press the ‘Play/Pause’ button to confirm.
Select the folder that contains your video files and press the ‘Play/Pause’ button to confirm.
Select a video file that you want to play and press the ‘Play/Pause’ button to play.
Rewind / forward: Press the directional button to rewind and press the directional button
to forward.

Pause: Press the ‘Play/Pause’ button to pause and resume playback. When a video is paused,
information about the video such as file name, file type, file size and resolution will
appearon-screen.
Volume: Press the or directional buttons to adjust the volume level.
On-screen menu: Press the ‘On-screen menu’ button to access options for changing the aspect
ratio, brightness level, the option of repeating one or more video files and the ability to jump to a
different time in the video. Play, pause, rewind, forward, last track and next track functions are also
accessiblefromtheon-screenmenu.
To exit ‘Movie’ mode press the ‘Return’ button until you see the main menu.

Playing music filesTo play music files press the or directional buttons to select ‘Music’, then select the
location of your music files.

Playing Ebook filesTo play Ebook files press the directional button to select ‘Others’ then press the ‘Play/Pause’
button to select.
Select the location that contains your Ebook files and then press the ‘Play/Pause’ button to confirm.
Select an Ebook file that you want to display and then press the ‘Play/Pause’ button.
On-screen menu: Press the ‘On-screen menu’ button to access options for enabling background
music, auto scroll, font colour and page number.
Volume: Press the or directional buttons to adjust the volume level.
Page up / page down: Press the directional button to select the previous page and press
the directional button to select the next page.
Font colour: Press the ‘Mode’ button to change the font colour.
Explorer modeExplorermodeallowsyoudeletefilesandtocopyfilesfromaSDcardorUSBmemorysticktothe
on-boardmemory.
To access explorer mode, press the or buttons then press the ‘Play/Pause’ button.
Fortheon-boardmemoryselect‘MEMORY’.
For the SD card select ‘SD’.
FortheUSBmemorystickselect‘USB’.
Press the ‘Play/Pause’ button to confirm.
Select the folder that you want to access and press the ‘Play/Pause’ button to confirm.
You will now see the files located in the folder.
Press the ‘On-screen menu’ button to access the copy, delete, import and wallpaper functions.
Press the ‘Play/Pause’ button to preview a file and press the ‘Return’ button to go back to
explorer mode.
ThecopyfunctionisonlyavailablewhencopyingfilesfromaSDcardorUSBmemorystick totheon-boardmemory.
To exit ‘Explorer’ mode press the ‘Return’ button until you see the main menu.

Clock and CalendarTo access the clock and calendar, press the directional button to select ‘Others’,
press the directional button to select ‘Clock’ then press the ‘Play/Pause’ button to select.
There are four viewing modes available, press the ‘Play/Pause’ button to select a different mode.
Press the ‘On-screen menu’ button to change the date, time, 12/24 hour mode and to enable the
timer and alarm.
To exit press the ‘Return’ button until you see the main menu.

Frequently asked questionsQ. I have pressed the power button but there is no power.
A. Please check that you have connected the power adaptor and the mains power is turned on.
Q. The remote control is not functioning.
A. Check that the plastic tab has been removed and the battery has been inserted correctly.
It is recommended to replace the battery every 12 months.
Q. I have inserted my memory card / USB memory stick but it is not reading it.
A. Check that the memory card has been formatted as FAT or FAT32. The NTFS file system is
notcompatible.ThemamximummemorycardandUSBmemorystickcapacityis32GB.
Q. The computer is not detecting the frame when connected.
A. The frame needs to be in PC mode. Go to ‘Common setting’ and change ‘USB Mode’ to
‘PC’. The frame will appear on the computer as a removable device.
Q. Am I able to play a slideshow and display the calender at the same time?
A. No, you cannot display a slideshow and the calender at the same time.

D. PROCEDURE FOR WARRANTY CLAIMS
Tomakeawarrantyclaim,youmust:
(1) DeliverorsendthedefectiveProducttoKaiserBaasatitsaddressshownabove,
together with proof of purchase in the form of a dated receipt or tax invoice, and a
description of the Product’s defect/s. It is your responsibility to ensure that in
deliveringthedefectiveProducttoKaiserBaas,theProductissuitablypackagedso
that it is adequately protected against damage during transit.
(2) PriortodeliveringthedefectiveProducttoKaiserBaas,youshould(ifapplicable),
remove all files or data stored on the Product which you consider private or
confidential.
(3) On receipt of the defective Product, proof of purchase and description of the
Product’sdefect/sasrequiredabove,KaiserBaaswillassesstheclaimandnotifyyou
of the claim’s outcome.
(4) AnyexpenseassociatedwithmakingaclaimundertheKaiserBaastwelve(12)
month warranty are to be borne by you.

E. EXCLUSIONS FROM TWELVE (12) MONTH WARRANTY
TheKaiserBaastwelve(12)monthwarrantydoesnotapplyiftheProduct:
• Ismodifiedortamperedwith;
• IsdamagedbyactofGod,powersurge,misuse,abuse,negligence,accident,
mishandling, wear and tear, misapplication, or other causes unrelated to defective
materialsorworkmanship;
• Isdamagedbyprograms,data,virusesorfiles,orduringshipment;
• Isnotusedinaccordancewiththeaccompanyingdocumentationandinstructions;
• Isrepaired,modifiedoralteredbyanyoneotherthanKaiserBaas;
• Ison-sold,assigned,transferredorleasedtoathirdparty.
F. EXCLUSIVE REMEDY
ItisaconditionoftheKaiserBaastwelve(12)monthwarrantythatinmakingyourclaim:
(1) KaiserBaasisnotliabletoyouforanylossofyourdataorinformationstoredonthe
ProductresultingfromtherepairorreplacementoftheProduct;and
(2) The repair or replacement of the Product is your exclusive remedy.
G. NO OTHER WARRANTIES
Thetwelve(12)monthKaiserBaaswarrantyreferredtoaboveistheonlyexpresswarranty
given to you, and subject to any applicable laws that cannot be excluded, is provided in lieu
of all other express or implied warranties and conditions (if any) including any

created by any other documents or packaging. No information (oral or written) or

twelve (12) month warranty, and if any such information or statements have been made
they are hereby withdrawn.
H. CONSUMER RIGHTS
You may have the benefits of other rights and remedies pursuant to law in relation to your
purchase of the Product in respect of which liability may not be excluded or restricted.
TheconditionsoftheKaiserBaastwelve(12)monthwarrantyreferredtoaboveare
subject to, and do not affect, such other rights and remedies.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian
Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure
and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You
are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of
acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
