Guidelines Advertising Agreements: Agreement rates are available to all

advertisers. However, if your commitment is not met, applicable rates

may be billed.

Position: Advertising positions cannot be guaranteed. However, if a

“preferred position” premium is paid, your request will take priority

over others requesting the same position. Most front and back pages

are reserved on an annual basis.

Proofs: Copy for Section A ads requiring a proof must be received

by Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. MINOR copy changes can be made up

until 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Section B ad copy received by

9:00 a.m. on Friday.

Cancellations: Production fees may be charged for cancelled ads

that have been designed. Cancellation may not be possible after

Wednesday noon as some sections are printed in advance.

Holiday Deadlines: When a national holiday falls on Monday, dead-

lines may be moved to Thursday and the Thursday deadlines are

moved to Wednesday.

All Accounts are payable by the 15th of the month. 1.5% monthly

finance charge is added on accounts not paid by the 15th of the

month.

Political Ads and “Going Out Of Business” ads are payable in advance.

Acceptability: The publisher reserves the right to edit, reject or

cancel any advertisement.

Error in publication: It is agreed the Shopping News is not to be held

responsible for errors in publication, unless a proof of such advertisement

is submitted to the advertiser and returned to the Shopping News

office with correction plainly noted in writing prior to publication. In

any event, the Shopping News liability shall not exceed re-publica-

tion of that part of the advertisement affected by the error. It is agreed

that the Shopping News accepts responsibility for errors only on the first

insertion of the advertisement. It is further agreed that in no case shall the

Shopping News be held responsible for selling losses incurred

by errors in publication or failure to insert an advertisement. The

advertiser assumes liability for the content of all advertising authorized for

publication and any claims that arise against the publisher.
