the 3rd WTF World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships to be held on
December 16-18, 2008 in Ankara, Turkey.
I hope that you and your honored athelets will come to this event to display
highest spirit of the sport and the enhancement of Taekwondo techniques.
We as organizers promise to do our best to provide a high quality championship.

3) Holder of the Kukkiwon Poom or Dan certificate

7. Method of competitions:
Cut-off system
1) Preliminaries: After performing two (2) of the four (4) 1st Compulsory Poomsae predetermined by
the WTF, the top 50% of participants will qualify for the next round according to the average score
of the two performances.
2) Final selection: The top 50% of participants would be required to perform two (2) of the four (4)
2nd
Compulsory Poomsae predetermined by the WTF. The top eight (8) athletes of each category
(individual, team and pair) will be selected according to the average score of the two performances.

3) Final: The top eight (8) athletes of each category would be required to perform the remaining two
(2) 2nd
Compulsory Poomsae. The ranking of the top three (3) athletes of each category will be
decided by the average score of the two performances. In the case that there are less than 8
individuals or teams per division, the contestants will automatically qualify for the final.

11. Conditions for participation
1) Round trip airfare and accommodation charges of room and board shall be borne by the
participating national team.
2) Entry fee of US$300 for each male and female team shall be enclosed in the entry form. Bank
references will be provided in due time.
12. International Referees
1) The WTF will appoint the required number of Poomsae international referees.
2) Round trip airfare shall be borne by each participating international referee, while the Organizing
Committee will cover accommodation of room and board for the designated period.
3) The Organizing Committee will provide the participating referees with daily allowances of
US$100 for the course of the competitions.
13. WTF-recognized taekwondo uniform (Dobok)
1) Participating contestants must wear the WTF-recognized taekwondo uniform. Any contestants
wearing unofficial dobok will not be permitted to compete.
2) The list of companies for the WTF-recognized dobok is enclosed herein for due preparations of
the team.
14. Medical control
1) Use of drugs or any other doping offences by chemical substances is strictly prohibited.
2) The WTF will carry out random medical doping tests among the participating athletes. Any
athletes who refuse to undergo the tests or who is proven to have committed a breach of the
regulation, shall be removed from the final standing, and shall be subject to disciplinary actions.
3) The Anti-Doping Rules of the World Taekwondo Federation and/or the World Anti-Doping Code
shall apply.
15. Head of team meeting and Drawing of lots
The information will be notified in due course.
16. Closing date for entries
The closing date for the Organizing Committee to receive the entry is November 15, 2008. Entries
received after the closing date will not be accepted.
17. Others
1) Each participating team should bring two national flags (size: 90cm x 130cm) as well as CD of its
national anthem.
2) All contestants and officials participating in the 3rd
WTF World Taekwondo Poomsae
Championships will receive a diploma co-signed by the WTF President and the Chairman of the
Organizing Committee.

Note 1 Diagnosis
Evidence confirming the diagnosis must be attached and forwarded with this application. The medical evidence should include a comprehensive medical history and the results of all relevant examinations, laboratory investigations and imaging studies. Copies of the original reports or letters should be included when possible. Evidence should be as objective as possible in the clinical circumstances and in the case of non-demonstrable conditions independent supporting medical opinion will assist this application.
