A presentation of the latest information is expected from the basic principles to practical appli-cations, especially reports on new scientific break-throughs such as the human genome investigations, application of new technologies, revised educational concepts and, above all, the urgent need to find more effective and appealing ways of health and well-be-ing protection and promotion by means of sport and exercise against the ever increasing deteriorating in-fluence of sedentariness and the aggressive hectic modern way of living.

PARTICIPANTSKinesiologists (or sport scientists) – academicians, re-searchers, lecturers and practitioners, PE teachers, coaches, physicians (esp. specialists of sports medi-cine), physiotherapists and others, as well as post-graduate students and experts from cognate and adjacent scientific fields from all over the world are welcome. Policy makers, media representatives and service providers in sport and exercise are welcome as well. The presentation of the latest information is expected in podium and poster presentations. Each author is free to take approach he/she wants within the scope of the announced Conference topics.

Besides, scienti fi c research reports are welcome related to quality of life, health (physical and mental), social environment and leisure ti me of university stu-dents, as well as to all aspects of student life style that is associated with physical acti vity, and health promoti on.

HEALTH KINESIOLOGYHealth Kinesiology programs can be found in numer-ous curricula of graduate studies at European uni-versities. In our south-eastern European region this branch of kinesiology is quite underdeveloped and it is high time to devote our attention to this inter-disciplinary area in which kinesiologists have to play a very important role. To perform properly in the area, they have to be acquainted with findings and skill from adjacent scientific disciplines and taught much more than now. It is our task in the very close future to get medical schools, physicians and health system defer to get complementary knowledge to act together on HEPA promotion and implementa-tion. National health strongly depends on it.

This symposium has the goal to give an insight into the place and the role of health kinesiology in na-tional policies and in the implementation of health enhanced physical activity.

Key note speaker: Herbert Hartman, Germany

All members of the Croatian Medical Chamber will be given points for the participation in the satellite symposium.

Papers and abstracts are cordially invited on kinesi-ology or sport science topics within the announced scope of the Conference.

Participants are invited to submit their papers or abstracts for either a podium or poster presenta-tion. The Editing Guidelines are valid generally for any paper submitted (certain regulations are valid for the invited lectures as well), no matter which presentation form is preferred by the author.

Papers can be submitted either as abstracts or in-tegral papers.

Any submitted paper or abstract will be interna-tionally reviewed and evaluated in order to decide on its acceptance, conditional acceptance, or rejec-tion. Nevertheless, the submitting authors are re-sponsible for the statements and views expressed in their works, as well as for the editing style and quality of language (either British or American Eng-lish). Only the accepted papers or abstracts will be included in the Scientific Programme and printed in the Proceedings or published on CD, provided that the submitting author has paid the fee.

Any participant may submit only two papers or abstracts. Participant can be the first author of only one paper.

Any delegate may present two contributions at the Conference, providing he/she is the author or co-author of both papers or abstracts.

Please, consider the deadlines for paper or abstract submission (January 15, 2014) and for authors to be notified (February 15, 2014), as well as the principle that no contribution will be included in the Pro-ceedings (paper and CD alike) in the case of Conference fee nonpayment (one fee - one author – one paper).

POSTERS, preferably measuring 100 x 70 cm, will be on display during the Conference. They should be structured in the same manner as the integral paper, but MUST be easily legible from a distance of at least 2 metres. All issues concerning layout of posters are the responsibility of the authors.

    Official language: English

    Call for papers or abstracts

Papers published in Conference Proceedings will be indexed in the Conference Proceedings Cita-tion Index data base as one of the WEB of Sci-ence products, regarding the fact that four pre-vious Kinesiology Conference Proceedings were cited in ISI Proceedings.

Reviewers will select the best papers which will be recommended for inclusion into the procedure for publishing in the „Kinesiology“ journal supplement in 2014 and Scientific Committee will notify authors about that.
