Message from the Activity Director
It is my great pleasure to welcome you again to the
Annual Beirut Breast Cancer Conference, now in its
7th Edition BBCC7 that has an up-to-date
multidisciplinary program for the management of
patients with breast cancer. BBCC-7, also includes
oncology pharmacy, nursing and NGO and advocacy
workshops. We also have special poster and oral
presentations with awards for Junior Researchers for
Best Abstracts and Best Posters.
We have a superb panel of speakers and experts to present CME didactic
lectures, tumor boards and round table discussions presenting updates from
major oncology meetings, including San Antonio, ESMO, ASCO, St.
Gallen, ABC and published literature. Non-CME satellite symposia are
also featured.
We are proud that BBCC has become an annual specialty tradition in
Lebanon and the region and attracts an increasing number of participants,
senior and junior physicians interested in the care of patients with breast
cancer. Beirut Breast Cancer Conference in featured on ASCO Connection
and (https://www.asco.org), AUBMC website (http://www.aubmc.org.lb)
and newspapers and magazines.
On behalf of BBCC-7 Scientific Committee, Breast Center of Excellence
at the Naef K. Basile Cancer Institute, and the CME Office at American
University of Beirut Medical Center, I hope you have a great meeting and

General Information
Program Overview The Breast Center of Excellence of the Naef K. Basile Cancer Institute at
the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC) organizes its
7th Annual Breast Cancer Conference, Beirut BBCC7, bringing together
the Lebanese Order of Physicians, Lebanese Order of Nurses, Lebanese
Order of Pharmacists, various Lebanese and Arab medical associations and
non-governmental organizations, and Lebanese and International experts
collaborating together in the fight against breast cancer. The program
includes updates on breast cancer patient assessment and treatment
planning, management of chemotherapy side effects, breast conservative
surgery, breast reconstruction, new advances in chemotherapy, anti-HER2
targeted therapy and hormonal therapy and ovarian function suppression,
CDK4/6 inhibitors, Checkpoint Inhibitors Immunotherapy, PARPi, as well
as new research abstracts, as well as two pharmacy and NGO workshops.
Objectives Lebanese and International experts will share new knowledge, discuss
novel advances in screening, loco-regional and systemic assessment,
diagnosis, neoadjuvant therapy, surgery of the breast and axilla, radiation
therapy, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, hormonal therapy, patient
advocacy and support groups, as well as pharmacological and nursing
aspects of care of patients with breast cancer.
Target Audience This annual scientific meeting has been designed for physicians,
researchers, scientists, physicians-in-training and medical students, as well
as pharmacists, nurses, patient advocates. Breast cancer basic and clinical
researchers, policymakers, and research promoters/funders are also
encouraged to attend.
Venue
This conference is held at the Gefinor Rotana Hotel, Beirut, Lebanon.
Accreditation This symposium complies with the Lebanese Order of Physicians
Continuing Medical Education, the Lebanese Order of Pharmacists, the
Order of Nurses in Lebanon and the ANCC guidelines.
