How does the weather affect my electric bill?To portray an accurate picture of how the temperature relates to our comfort level, the National Weather Service uses “degree days” to define the margin between the actual temperature and a baseline of 65, which would be considered comfortable with no heating or cooling devices needed.

Degree days for January:2015 2016 Normal (base of 65) 934 721 933 This comparison shows that January 2017 had 213 fewer degree days than January 2016 and 212 fewer degree days than the National Weather Service defined as “normal” weather conditions.

Clark County REMC Mission StatementClark County REMC, incorporated in 1939, is a member-owned electric cooperative providing service to members living in Clark, Floyd, Scott, Jefferson and Washington counties in southern Indiana.
