Service Aggregation to Deliver Advanced IP Services

The Nokia 7705 Service Aggregation Router (SAR) from LGS Innovations helps government and commercial organizations around the world to implement multiple voice, video, and data applications, increase speed of execution, increase productivity, and minimize costs with the implementation of a single, converged network infrastructure.

The Nokia 7705 Service Aggregate Router and 5620 Service Aware Manager have been certified for use in Department of Defense networks and placed on the Unified Capabilities Approved Products List (UC APL). The Unified Capabilities Interoperability and Information Assurance Certification was administered by the DoD Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC).

The 7705 SAR is optimized for multiservice adaptation, aggregation, and routing, especially within a modern, economical Ethernet and IP/MPLS infrastructure. Designed to facilitate legacy-to-packet transformation, the 7705 SAR is ideal for government agencies and commercial organizations seeking solutions to deliver legacy and advanced IP services.

The 7705 SAR is available in compact, low-power consumption platforms delivering highly available services over resilient and flexible network topologies. Strong Quality of Service (QoS) capabilities ensure service-level awareness and the management of multiple traffic streams. The 7705 SAR is well suited to the aggregation, backhaul, and routing of next generation traffic — providing cost-effective scaling and the transformation from legacy to consolidated, packet-based IP/MPLS networking and modernized business services. The 7705 SAR also supports microwave transport via the Nokia 9500 MPR (Microwave Packet Radio) platform. The 9500 MPR allows users to maximize spectrum utilization while reducing the TCO of microwave networks.

The 7705 SAR is managed by the Nokia 5620 Service Aware Manager (SAM), an IP/MPLS core service management platform used by over 600 service providers . With the 5620 SAM, network owners/operators have the tools that scale with their expanding requirements, proactively provide network assurance to avoid service interruptions, and integrate network management visibility across network domains to accelerate the resolution to networking problems.

The security features available on the 7705 SAR address the threats that are possible at the management plane, control plane and data plane for infrastructure and services.
