The Mosque now has a total ofthree main entrances and twenty-seven

secondary entrances .The minarets are similar in height and design.

In addition to this, a large open plazahas been created to the east of Al-Mas’a

(between As-Safa and Al-Marwah )whichcan accommodate 65,000 worshippers.

Two new power stations provide

1 -the electricity for the additional lighting,

2 -loudspeakers,

3 -TV studios ,

4 -telephones

5 -and clocks.

Central air-conditioning has been provided for the basement .

The ground floor and first floor are ventilatedby the natural flow of air from windows and

doors, aided by ceiling fans.

Zamzam water is available to pilgrims from 60 taps on the ground floor and 36 on the first floor.
