• The roof is made with hand-split shingles, a heavy
weight shingle that will last much longer than a typical
shingle. Additionally, the roof shingles were installed
over plywood and then two layers of cross firring lathe,
which allows the roof to breathe, increasing it's lifespan
an additional 20 years.
• The white cedar side wall shingles have been dipped
in stain, not only creating a complimentary hue to the
naturally aged roof, but also this technique will last
much longer than merely brushed on stain.
• Spanish Cedar exterior trim, a solid wood trim that will
weather much better than any finger jointed material.
• All Flashing on the House is Lead Coated Copper

• A/C Units and Air Handlers are Trane, 13 SEER High
Efficiency Units
• House is equipped with two 80-gallon Super Store Ultra
hot water units. These units have a lifetime warranty.

• High efficiency natural gas furnaces made by Weil
McLain. The boilers are 90-94% efficient, and are the

• Basement floor has a sub-floor installed over sleepers and insulation board to protect against moisture, and provide insulation for winter heating, and a softer feel.
• Wood Floors are Installed with a Double Layer of Plywood for Stability
• The stonework that continues into the interior is separated by a thermal break, ensuring no moisture
transfer and retaining heat in the house.
