    EIGHT STRAIGHT SERIES WINS: The Shuckers enter this series havingwon eight-straight in series play and overall, 11-4 on the season. Over thestretch Biloxi is 26-12. The Shuckers took 3 of 5 at Jacksonville and nishedthe season series with the Suns, going 11-4. The series included the biggestwin of the season (Sunday, 11-1) and worst loss of the year (Monday, 1-12).

    ANOTHER WINNING MONTH: The Shuckers completed their third-straight win-ning month in June, posting the best record in the Southern League at 16-8. Biloxihad the best record in the league,14-7 in April and T-2nd-best record,16-12 in May.

    QUALITY FROM THE ROTATION:  Saturday’squality start from Jorge Lopez  was the second-straight and 30th this season from the starting rota-tion. It was also the 16th in the last 23 games. Biloxistarters have a 31-18 record and a 3.18 ERA thisseason with 330 strikeouts and 140 walks, holdingthe opposition to a .234 batting average.

    SWEET HOME MGM PARK:  The Shuckersopened their Inaugural Season on the infamous 54-game road trip, chronicledby ESPN (went 33-21) Over the rst 9 games at MGM Park, Biloxi is 6-3 andtheir have been 3 walk-off wins including a 14-inning, 5-4 win over Mobile onOpening Night, June 6, as well as the longest game in franchise history, June20, a 15-inning, 1-0 win over Montgomery after a Victor Roache homer. Despite

    an unnished stadium, and under full capacity, 32,597 fans have attended aShuckers game, an average of 3,622.

    THE “BILOXI 10” BREAK SL ALL-STAR GAME RECORD: Despite the 9-0loss the South Division suffered to the North on June 23 in Montgomery, theShuckers made history with 10 participants. Relievers RHP Austin Ross (2/3IP, 2SO), RHP Damien Magnico (1/3 IP, 3R, 4H, SO) and 80% of the startingrotation, RHP Brooks Hall (2/3 IP, 2 SO), LHP Hobbs Johnson (2/3 IP, BB), RHPJorge Lopez (IP, 2H, R, BB, 2SO) and RHP Tyler Wagner (IP, 2H).     WHO ARE THE SHUCKERS?: Formerly the Huntsville Stars, the new Biloxi professional baseball team re-vealed the new identity on November 24, 2014, as the Biloxi Shuckers took center stage during a ceremonyinside Biloxi’s historic Saenger Theatre. The team name was selected after nearly 60,000 votes were castafter the month-long “Name the Team” contest yielded six finalists. A tenacious oyster is the centerpiece ofthe identity, seen both in the club’s primary logo, home and alternate caps. The letters “BS” to make up theroad cap designation - the Biloxi Lighthouse logo, resiliently rising above historic storm waters. Gulf Blue,Sand, Coral, and Black make up the club’s new official colors, paying tribute to the Gulf Coast. The Shuckersare the first professional sports team to use this color combination.ABOUT BILOXI: Founded in the late 17th century by French explorers, Biloxi has a population of 44,578and is the home of Keesler Air Force Base...     ABOUT MGM PARK: MGM Park opened its gates for the rst time on June 6, 2015 as Tyler Wagner (below) threw the rstpitch to Mobile’s Jack Reinheimer at 7:07 p,m. CT. The long wait ended and the 54-game road trip came to a close. MGMPark opened with a 5-4 win over the Mobile BayBears in 14 innings. The game lasted 4 hours, 26 minutes in front of a sold outcrowd of 5,065. Nick Shaw drove in pinch-runner Brent Suter from second to earn the walk-off win and christen the new home.• MGM Park is located off of Highway 90 and Interstate 110, adjacent to Beau Rivage Resort & Casino, MGM Park is withinwalking distance of downtown Biloxi and beaches of the Gulf Coast. The stadium, being built by the city of Biloxi, brokeground on January 24, 2014 and is being constructed by Architect Dale Partners P.A. of Biloxi and Yates Construction.     BILOXI BASEBALL HISTORY: Pro baseball is not totally new to the Gulf Coast, but it is the rst since 1908. TheGulfport-Biloxi Sand Crabs of the Cotton States League played half a season in Biloxi during the summer of 1908.Many Major League and som Minor League teams held spring traing in the area. Even the 1920 Milwaukee Brewersof the American Association (direct descendant of the current Brewers) trained in Gulfport. See below.
