ドイツ空軍 高高度戦闘機　Ta 152 H-0Luftwaffe Hohenjager Ta 152 H-0大戦末期、近い将来迫り来る敵重爆撃機迎撃のため「特殊高高度戦闘機」の開発が求められた。その要求仕様を満たしたのがクルト・タンク博士によって開発されたフォッケウルフ社製Ta 152の「H型」である。その量産先行型である「H-0」はJumo 213 Eエンジンを搭載、3枚羽根で直径3.6mの強化木製VS9プロペラを装備した。燃料タンクは胴体内のみで、後に主翼内にも搭載した「H-1」とは主翼周辺のパネルラインとともに大きく異なる。スミソニアン博物館のポール・E・ガーバー施設倉庫に保管されている唯一の現存機はこの「H-0」である。

During the last period of the Great War, the development of a “special high-altitude fighter” was demanded for the near future in order to intercept the enemies’ heavy bombers. The airplane that met those requirements was the Focke-Wulf Ta 152 “H-series”, developed by Dr. Kurt Tank. The “H-0” type, which preceded the mass-production, was equipped with the Jumo 213 E-engine and a reinforced wooden VS9 propeller of 3.6m diameter with 3 runner blades. At that time, the fuel tanks were only in the fuselage, which is very different from the later “H-1” that had the fuel tanks within its main wings. The panel lines surrounding the main wings are also very different between the two planes. Currently, this “H-0” is kept at the “Paul E. Garber Preservation, Resto-ration, and Storage Facility” in the Smithsonian Museum.
