English assignments

Instructions Read carefully all the instructions, for each day of the week (Monday through Friday) there are planned activities you must do. They are just like our class activities. The subject of each activity is stated at the top of each said activity. If it says vocabulary it means you have to do it with the materials you normally use for vocabulary. The Keystone and Science book glossaries are attached at the end of this file as photographs. All the pages you need in order to work in these activities are attached as photographs (you can enlarge them) after the explanation of each of the activities. The vocabulary reviews must be copied to your notebooks from this file. Remember to write topics, dates and to colour your drawings. All the work will be checked on your notebooks and books when we come back from the school break and it must be complete, done neatly and clean.

Tuesday, March 24th -Vocabulary Do vocabulary chart week 28with meaning, repetitions and illustrations. -Grammar Go to Keystone book pages 270 and 271 and read about how to write instructions. Follow the format stated in the book to write your own instructions about how to do something.

Thursday, March 26th -Grammar GS page 118to 121 – topic: conducting an interview, reports

Interview: conduct an interview with someone at your home. You must have prepared the questions you will ask in advance so that you are prepared for it. Write down the answers. Remember, the questions you ask must have order and logic; if you are asking about their pets then ask several questions about that, don’t suddenly start asking about food! Your interviews must start with a greeting and end with you thanking that person for their time and saying goodbye. Write down their answers! Check your GS books page 121 for more tips!
