PRINCIPALS

Daniel Oberpriller [email protected]

Daniel Oberpriller has a unique ability to see not

just properties, but potential. That ability, added

to his nearly 20 years of real estate experience as

an agent and broker, is just one reason that CPM

Companies has become the fastest-growing real

estate firm in the Twin Cities since its inception in

2005. Daniel’s entrepreneurial drive, along with

his talent for securing development sites and

networking partnerships, earned him a spot on

the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal’s

“40 under 40” list in 2013.

Nick Walton [email protected]

Nick Walton is the financial mind behind CPM

Companies. With a background in construction

and finance, he is able to size up a project and

secure underwriting with an accurate assessment

of its viability. Gaining 17 years of finance,

construction, and development experience

operating Reuter Walton Companies, Nick then

co-founded CPM Companies in 2005 with

Daniel Oberpriller. Together, the two have

taken Twin Cities real estate by storm.

COLLEGE STUDENT HOUSINGCPM Companies first earned our reputation with the success of our innovative developments in the student housing sector, which remain among our most proud accomplishments. To date, we’ve developed, built, and manage a collective 1 million square feet of student housing, ranging in size from 45 beds to 827 per project.

The Elysian 711 4th Street SE. Minneapolis, MN 55414

The Elysian was CPM’s first luxury student housing venture, with 147 beds in 56 units. Formerly home to Andrew Riverside Presbyterian Church, the site had stood vacant for 10 years since being condemned in 2003. It was saved when CPM stepped in with a redevelopment proposal: CPM would use the land to construct The Elysian apartments, designating a portion of the ground floor space for Andrew Riverside Church.

The 700 on Washington 716 Washington Avenue SE. Minneapolis, MN 55414

This 98-unit/263 bed apartment building was CPM’s first on-campus student housing project. From modern architecture to dining and retail options, The 700 provides students a higher standard of living. To make way for construction, CPM had to tear down Sally’s Saloon, a local favorite. However, the restaurant was restored with prime corner real estate in the new building, upholding our commitment to promote community value and local ownership.

Radius @ 15th 701 15th Avenue SE. Minneapolis, MN 55414

Situated in the heart of Dinkytown across from the University of Minnesota Sports Arena, Radius was the first residential complex built following the formation of the 2014 Marcy-Holmes neighborhood development plan. The 202-unit/771-bed student housing community was designed in cooperation with the plan’s mission to protect the historical fabric of the neighborhood during a period of dramatic growth.

The Rail 814 13th Avenue SE. Minneapolis, MN 55414

The Rail is a 36-unit/100-bed apartment building nestled between the railroad and Dinkytown. This development supports the Marcy-Holmes neighborhood development initiative to cultivate a pedestrian-friendly living experience that connects residents to the many trails, restaurants, and cultural events the neighborhood has to offer.

The third floor will feature a pool and a rooftop sky lounge. Lake and Fremont broke ground in January 2016.

Chroma 113 East 26th Street. Minneapolis, MN 55408

With this new development, CPM moves into the Whittier neighborhood to bring high-density, high-design, market-rate housing to an area that has previously lagged in new construction. The location will place residents within a stone’s throw of many cultural features, including the Minneapolis Institute of Art, Eat Street, and the Midtown Greenway trail. Construction on the 5-floor/70-unit mixed-use building will begin in 2015.
