6.2.25 Business Use of the Footpath

RECOMMENDATION That: 1. the report by the Manager Governance on the Business Use of the Footpath be

received; 2. Council formally adopt the policy and fee structure.

To adopt the policy and associated fee structure.

Detailed report

At its meeting on 7 May 2014 Council gave consideration to a policy on the business use of the footpath and resolved as follows:

“That: 1. the report by the Manager Governance on the Business Use of the Footpath be

received; 2. the proposed policy and associated fee structure be placed on public exhibition for 28

days. 3. a further report be submitted for Council’s consideration to consider submissions

received. 4. that the fees for business use on footpath for the whole region be as follows:

New Application fee $100 Annual renewal fee $75 Area fee per square metre $10”

Public notice of this proposal was given in the Mudgee Guardian on 9 May 2014 with the period for public submissions closing at 4.00pm on Friday 7 June 2014. No submissions were received. Council might not formally adopt the policy and associated fee structure.
